I love this advant model just bought two helmets of this type. One for my daughter size s an one for me size xxl. Less wind noise then the HJC c91. The reason we bought those models becaus the HJC c91 does get hurt after one hour ride the size is ok but our scull form on the top is a different wider then other people i guess. So we try a lot of brands and models and the choice was the LS2 Vaillant but the seller told us they sold out and iT was the old eu norm ece 2205 it not alowed to ride it complete open ( with the chin bar up). IT was better to get the advant iT has a higher safety level ece 2206 its alowed to ride it open. The helmet fit well and has a high confort. We are happy whit this model. Prys indication € 285,- in the Netherlands August 2023
You can definitely feel the difference. The Advant X Carbon is more solid in its open position than some of the Shoei full helmets. It could be the carbon, but I think it's probably the new cert.
Did the integrated comm sistem come out yet? I've been searching for it but haven't managed to find one that fits into that rear slot in the helmet. Thanks!
This is a helmet donut meant for supporting your new LS2 helmet on a table top. These are handy when removing pads / liners for washing or other helmet maintenance.
I do have to say that manufacturers should look into adding a way to pump air into either the neck roll or around the ears to block out wind noise. Maybe a really tiny bulb similar to the pump on a blood pressure tester. IDK, just a thought I had.
I was debating between this, the Advant X, and a RPHA 91. Settled on the 91 (ordered from the fine folks at Speed Addicts of course) since it was a known quantity and is known to be pretty quite. I guess if it doesn't fit when it arrives, the Advant may make a good alternative. Thanks for the review!
Good review thanks. What is the noise level like with this? My current LS2 requires me to wear ear plugs always! I think the Schuberth is the benchmark so how does this stack up for noise?
I hope they redesigned the mechanism for moving the sun visor on this one. the Valiant 2, has this issue. Its the first one to fail because its only pushing one side, the other side relies on the sliding track. A small torsion makes it fail.
@@SpeedAddictsTVThank you. Unfortunately, I thought I saw a great Christmas Sale deal on Amazon and bought it. After the temps warmed up, I took out the bike and learned just how noisy is the LS2. This IS my first modular helmet, apart from full face helmets, but still, it is LOUD. I wish I had applied my ~$325 toward the Schuberth. Live and learn. Blessings 😊
@@nostraware the FortNine test is exactly that which I was thinking of in my comment and nowhere in that test is the risk of decapitation mentioned. In fact, it's the danger of an inferior fastener prematurely breaking and allowing the helmet to be separated from the head that presents the biggest risk in a crash.
