If it's a COPO you need some generic steel wheels with some chrome center caps. Like the old COPO Camaros.

It would be cool to see a rack and pinion conversion on one of these trucks. Using a later model rack from a Tahoe or suburban. Get rid of all the slop from the idler and pitman arm joints. Btw, I'd name it Bawd. Bad-a...awd

I'm definitely in favor of relocating the battery. It's just gonna look goofy if you do some kind of weird bend on the intake tube

I'm in the middle of doing a lsa in my 5.3 regal. This helps.

I’m sitting on an 04 single cab step side z71. 5.3 and 4l60e. Once it starts getting built it’s going to be “psiko71” looking at a turbo setup, not super built just looking for 500 all wheel hp. So obviously the same awd conversion. Lowered a little bit, but not too much because I’m in New England and still need to be able to deal with snow. Not looking to race it or anything since it’s my daily. Just want a little more than the stock 295 crank hp. Considering looking into a 6l80e swap since I love how my 3500 dump truck at work shifts and takes off. Still going to have a fairly quiet exhaust, full interior etc. I’m using your vids as research, so I can’t tell you how much I appreciate them. I’ve been to school for motorcycles, Kawasaki specifically. So I’m no stranger to tearing things down to the skeleton. This will be the first v8 I’ve ever built, since my old 95 z28 had a 400hp build when I bought it. Excited for the new experience, but understandably nervous.

I can’t wait to do this to my 08. Spin a bearing in my 5.3 in November and been planning out a 383 stroker using the 5.3 block and for the longest time thought I was going with a torqstorm. After these videos I’m certain I’ll be getting in contact with Roshan and getting a lsa kit

If you get any belt slippage you may wanna look into a Gates HD “green” belt. I know a lot of guys with superchargers swear by them.

You CAN reuse the stock balancer bolt, but its a moronic idea. Still, I've had to due it so many times because my boss told me too.

Can you get 8 or 12 rib pullies to run the supercharger and the rest of the accessories?

Have you considered installing a water/methanol injection on it?

would not be a bad idea to go ahead and change accessory bearings too! Nothing more annoying than a bad alternator bearing drowning out supercharger whine!

Went to a car dealer one time looking for a new daily and they had a real 1969 COPO Camaro with the 427 on the showroom floor. Asked about it and they wanted half a million. Needless to say it was just a little outside my price range.

i'm purposefully not watching these videos becuse i have a vs7875/wastegate/bov/intercooler setup sitting in the corner of my room staring at me for my own silverado. and watching this current set of videos won't help me finish installing thoes but will make me look up the lsa kit.

You know. If you let the air out of the front tires, it makes it easier to work on the truck. Then just air them back up when your done. Saves some wear and tear on your back. I learned that by accident. Both my front tires were flat one morning when I came out to work on her. For me tho it was a little bit harder then just putting some air in the tires lol.

Did you put thread lok on the power steering pump bolts? Looked like they were behind the stock pullley

battery in the 2nd spot for smooth intake tract, plus just moving the 40+ lbs battery from in front of the front wheels to behind the front wheels seems win win to me

I'm curious as to how the water pump bearings will fare with the side load produced by the supercharger. It's unfortunate you could not have a belt dedicated to the supercharger...unless I have missed something.
