this is amazing, this demo shows the transition between the "old Chris Stann" voice (as heard on the American Noise video here on youtube) and the "later Stanley" voice.... I wonder about the day he made the transition from being all glammed out to looking like a bum :)

HOLY SHITCOOKIES BATMAN ! I put this up and less then 20 minutes later I get 11 views and all these Comments ! Hey-I'd be putting up more but my PC or the analog converter is giving me problems-stuttering audio or sped up or skipping, gonna let the stuff cool down and try again tommorow. Thanks for the comments and compliments !

Very cool. Anyone got any Bottoms Up recordings or vids? My band opened for them back in the 80's and their songs were catchy as hell, and they had a ridiculous stage show! Came out in nerdy tuxedo's and hats with Chris playing an accordion, and then the music starts and the big hair comes out, BOOM!!!! It was extremely entertaining.

fredzeppelinIV - man- I'd kill to hear "I love the Blondes" saw them at the Whale numerous times. One of my faves. Let me know if you found any of their stuff. Their guitarist is on FB and I know Jim, but he "doesn't have anything on digital format" I think Stanley would be pissed.

@thoja Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Perfect demo of the in-between phase of Chris/Stanley. Neat to hear the development here. Almost like he's 2 people singing.

Billy knew Chris before LSD. Dave left Diamond Rexx to be in LSD, Alex left Enuff Z'Nuff, Chris Stann left Bottoms Up and Brian Horak left Damien Thorne as well-this was the Chicagoland supergroup back then. And Lovro, Stanley is real.

@fredzeppelinIV hey, I spoke with Dave who was the bassist for Bottoms Up and he said theres no footage of the band that he knows of, they never shot any. But, a fan could have shot some live footage, but it has yet to surface. If it shows up I will post it here along with any other related footage.

Those images likely rest on a VHS in someone's attic to this day. It would be like finding a treasure to know where that attic is.

Dave is on Myspace as is Alex. If Bill and Chris and Brian are they are flying under radar. I know Chris will laugh when he reads this too. BTW someone who claims they run into Chris says hes doing good and hes happy-I'm hoping he puts me in contact with him soon. This person is somewhat reliable so we shall see.
