We have a local prison nearby, so the local agencies have to prepare for escapes. In preparation, they have horses, and search dogs, which they use a double goose neck trailer. One side for horses, and one for the dogs. They use a Dodge 3500 to pull the massive trailer.
I see a lot of dually police trucks, especially in areas with large bodies of water. They use them mainly for hauling Boats, and Trailers for events. Wouldn't be practical to use a Dually in a chase lol!

In my city we have one Silverado that does patrol, and we have 2 f250's that we use as well. One is an unmarked that we use for crime scene investigations and the other is a dually that has multi purpose but on occasion does patrol
In Houston Texas HPD has 9 F650 for boat trailers, horse trailer flood rescue and towing, the Houston fire department has 20 f650 they use for high water rescue and brush trucks
We use duallys near me to haul horse trailers for mounted patrol, and to haul the boats for our marine units. We use 2500s for our weights and measures DOT guy as well
they use them for a number of thing but not regular patrolling, they use them for pulling horse trailer for the mounted units and use them for pulling trailers for Dept boats and for pulling their mobile command center trailers. that's why Dept's have them.
Don't know about other places but we have one almost like this one that we use to haul our Mobil command center. we do alto of drug bust and the thing is vitally important. its also freaking fun as all get out to drive . the light set up is crazy.

Pd wants some trucks because they haul trailer with things on the trailer such as: Four Wheelers. Also, they'll use the truck for taking prisoners out to do community service.

My local department has a dually Chevy that is used to haul the incident command trailer they take it to road blocks and during any swat calls and they will carry cones police tape or spike strips
@FirstThirtyMinutes, Hey I really enjoy your videos. Might I recommend you take advantage of the air unit more often? For example, during the Meth Lab call in Sandy Shores, an air unit could help spot any enemies fleeing the scene as the other two attacked you. Additionally, they're a great, safer way to pursuit runners. That way, you could have less traffic havoc after pursuits. Lastly, perhaps you do this in later episodes, but I think prioritizing traffic control could be made more important (e.g. Close roads/use barriers before searching vehicles, ensure you pull people over in quieter, more manageable areas). That way, vehicle stops and other incidents would be much more manageable. Don't get me wrong, I love your videos! As a fan, I wanted to share my perceptions/ideas from playing LCPDFR. Thanks for the great videos!
If the department has to pull boats/jet skis, offroad vehicles, equine trailers, or confiscate something big they'd be able to benefit greatly from something like this.
Can I suggest you use the shotgun and pistol in shootouts rather than the carbine to be more realistic because usually only swat would carry a heavy rifle anyway keep up the good work
