Just the perfect Coach O story. So he may not have a boss, so he may not even have a job, but like a Tiger that knows how to hunt, Coach O knows how to recruit. You can’t take that out of him. Part of me thinks that if Coach O didn’t even have a job he’d be showing up to High School’s across America recruiting D-Line players to play in his make believe defense. That’s the Coach O difference. The guy never ever quits.

so true. we wrote letters to the administration and athletic Dept to keep Big O. Coach O is genuine and loved coach for USC even though he is from Louisiana. He loved being at USC. Why would you not?

Coach O had said to be the HC at USC, you must always keep your golf clubs in your car at all times. Coach O is not a golf club type of guy, and most influential USC boosters play golf at ritzy clubs, and that is how you woo the donors. USC missed out on having a great coach.

I'm gonna tell ya'll my fishing experience with Coach O. I pulled up 3 fish. 1st fish I pulled up. Coach O said, " that's a Sockaley. " I thought it was called a Crappie. 2nd fish I pulled up was a rock bass. "That's a Goggalie," said coach." I said, " why's that?" Coach said, "cuz they look like they got goggles for they eyes. " Last fish was a big ole Drum. "That's a Gas-Pa-Goo!" Coach yelled. "Why so coach?" I asked. Coach said, " Cuz when they outta da watta, they gaspin' for eh (air)." And that's my Cajun fishing story. Geaux Tigers!

My favorite Coach in my home state of Louisiana. Sean Payton is my second favorite. It will always be that way.Neither one is coaching in Louisiana anymore, but I will always support Coach O and Coach Payton.

This is where USC went wrong, if USC just gave Ed a shot instead of Helton I think coach O would have brought some Natty's to LA, he was paramount to the foundation of Pete Carrol and the last, once he left, well hence USC today... Sad tho coach O has played himself at LSU and made a fool of himself hitting on a alumni wife, but I'm very sure all men have made that mistake tho, most of us never learn... It's crazy what yoga pants can do to a human 🤣🤣🤣 But at least he can either retire with a fat check, or give it another run, I think he retires as he should, to late in life to try to dig out this hole...
