LSU head baseball coach Jay Johnson spoke with the media on Tuesday morning where he discussed solutions to getting his team back on the right trajectory and more.
Actually as a HC, he needs to prove himself. Genius? Definitely can use that label. Guy won a Natty...credit given. But guy won the Natty utilizing 100% of a true coaching genius' players. Until he can prove SEC player evaluation and development, Jay will continue to be on the hot seat. Natty earned him 2 full seasons of looking like crap...by 2026...he is done.
As real baseball fans know, many of these lost games were nip and tuck, and honestly could have gone either way, this season will turn around, the balls will start bouncing LSU’s 13:47 way, hang in there, Geaux Tigers!
I see little to no enthusiasm or swagger. Nobody seems excited to be playing LSU baseball. Southern looked excited to play us...we looked stressed and under pressure. We have talent just go play ..don't let the expectations weigh on you...have fun...be glad you have this opportunity. Yall can do this.
No doubt, it has been a horrible stretch to put it mildly. What's going to take for this team to get better? I have no idea! I am not optimistic. I think we overestimated the talent level of new recruits and transfers.
Coach they have no Heart or Discipline.. I've not ever seen so many ways you can lose a game. But they find a way to do it. This would never fly with a Coach Bertman Team
This is 100% coaching ultimately. Take some accountability Jay Johnson!!! You are saying your coaching is solid....you are blaming teenagers and young 20s. Really? I have lost respect for Jay...making excuses and putting players under the bus. "What I do, doesn't matter..." Jay's coaching career at LSU is on a limited timeline.
