LSU head women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey spoke with the media Friday morning on the eve of her Tigers Sweet-16 NCAA women's tournament game versus UCLA. Plus Flau'jae Johnson and Angel Reese. UCLA Cori Close
I have never watched basketball in my entire life. Don’t know any rules. But I watch LSU women’s basketball every chance I get! Only this team and coach. ❤😊 same holds true for their press conferences.
@@Highsteppa81 why shouldn't we? Ordinary Nigerians hate oppression because every region has received it share, the hate constantly thrown at LSU and Kim Mulkey by the media has actually made young people who watch from here drawn to the sport and some of them I know have never sat for 2 minutes to watch baseball but right now despite the time difference (6 hours) some of stay awake sometimes 12,1,2AM just to watch LSU play. I also love UConn and Iowa and SC is also a very good team
Everyone needs to stop hating on LSU WOMEN'S BASKETBALL AND KIM MULKEY. Like it or Love it, They're the ones who have made WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Mainstream. Not The WNBA, NOT Catlin Clark, and Not South Carolina. So put some RESPECT ON LSU WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NAME...
I used to watch WCB years ago but the excitement left me! Last year Angel and Flau’jae brought me back. Now I not only watch LSU but a lot of other teams. I know these girls have a lot of pressure, but I hope they are such an inspiration! Their confidence is top notch ❤🙏🏽
Glad to have you aboard fellow Lady Tigers fan. Don't take this as an insult. Just informing a fellow newcomer that we say it "Geaux" Tigers. The "Geaux" is Cajun French, which is our roots in Louisiana. Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride. Geaux Tigers!
I like the honesty of this coach, there's a wisdom and confidence level that is rare and refreshing. She speaks with experienced authority. Wow...such a strong woman: reserved, wise, and investing herself into the next generation. Women ARE a higher lifeform, not merely a gender.
Love her or not, Kim Mulkey has been a heckuva basketball coach and leader for years now and has been instrumental in growing this game. She also has an eye for talent. Love watching this team!
Woman’s College basketball is the hot ticket right now. I’m rooting LSU but I’ve enjoyed all these great teams like Coach said. It’s a new day in wcb. The spotlight is on them.
I am a diehard NO Saints, Southern Jaguars football, and LSU Tigers football fan. Since last year's final four I have watched more Lady tigers basketball (and other women's college basketball) than all my 3 teams' football games combined. Including press conferences. At one time, I knew all the free agents coming to the Saints in the off-season, and most recruits that LSU football has scored. This year I know NOTHING of either. It's all about THESE ladies right here!
I used to stay up until 3 am to watch D1 women’s hoops back in the 80’s. I love that they are getting exposure and the game has advanced each year. I love the women’s college game and would love to see more game on TV from Nov to March!
@@jerseyjoe82364This comment clearly shows your level of intelligence. Several in the chat from USA and abroad have indicated that they are followers of LSU women’s basketball. Again, a grown man with nothing else to do….
I am one of what coach Mulkey described- always a basketball fan- whatched March Madness (men's for decades), but paid more attention to the NBA than the NCAAM- I paid a little bit of attention, not much though to the NCAAW and WNBA- games never caught my eye UNTIL last year's '23 March Madness in the NCAAW- really, really got into it- and became an LSU fan before the final 4- the leads up to it- mostly because of Reese and Mulkey- and the post game interviews- now I follow the NCAAW more than NCAAM, WNBA and even the NBA- (and I am really into NBA as well) but, if I had to choose one to watch- NBA vs NCAAW- NCAAW would win out- they know how to 'sell the game' to a fan like me- love getting to know the players, coaches and stories in all this media activity
Didn't she tell the first reporter that she was there to talk about winning another game?? Then why did the next person turn around and ask the same question?? I see why people get pissed off at the reporters, they don't listen!!
I been watching all kinds of sports for many years. I started in high school. I am 62 yrs old. This is my first time watching women basketball and I been loving it.
I truly feel people love to hate on confident women and its so crazy to me we have come along way in every way and its empowering more than anything. The main ones who hate clearly are tuning in to watch lol.
yes! reading about coach Mulkey- and coach VanDerveer- and their start in ball way back- there was no future in ball for women back then- both women- played ball at the college level- but, their were no, or very little pro future in ball for women back then- but, these women, and others, followed their passions and really paved the way for the NCAAW to be where it is today- I watch and follow the NCAAW much more than the NCAAM or even the NBA! these are great games- and some great stories- wish there were more 'Cindellla stories' in the women's March Madness- their is one in the men's (sort of) #11 North Carolina is in the elite 8- in the women's the only teams left are the top tier teams- still a great tourney!!!!
Angel Reese, And Teammates, STAY FOCUS. Angel, Praying for Baltimore. At the beginning of the game, take a moment and Pray for Baltimore, and The Families
I know people are hating on her for the statement but she also did it for her team specifically Angel because I can almost guarantee she will be attacked as well. Offense is also good defense plus she is ride or die for kids. This is a rare team of artistic expression. Most coaches creat basic uncreative players. Kim helps you grow and because of that more eyes are on women’s college basketball. LSU is the only reason why I am tuning in, anyone else?
I love these young ladies man. They are such awesome representatives of my Alma mater!!! Coach Mulkey’s leadership is not only felt when you hear her speak, but also through her players. It’s so awesome!!!
I love Flaujae, she straight forward, and i love Angel too, great interview ladles, and you are so correct Flaujae a lot of our athletes get screwed over, because they're not educated on finances, or having a great credit score, great answer Big 4, Geaux Tigers 💜💛
I’m really enjoying NCAAW!! These women are phenomenal players. Hitting those 3 points is crazy. They obviously practice a lot. I heard one of the ladies from USC say she practice 200 times a day doing 3 pointers. I’m cheering for LSU but I think USC or IOWA will take the championship. Good luck to all the teams.
I literally LOVE coach Mulkey & coach Staley I’m so locked in to these games and I am torn on the team I want to win it all. May the best team win is all I can feel I guess
Love to see LSU and Iowa in a rematch in the elite eight. It's the rivalry we deserve. Caitlin and Angel just like Magic and the Bird. Like MJ and The Pistons. Best show on earth right now is NCAA WBB.
Hey Mike or anyone on the Tigerbait team, is it possible to get a 2-shot on the camera for player interviews? Instead of switching back & forth whenever one of them speaks. Not a critique, just a question. Thanks for posting as always!
She always have a joke and the media so lame or lack humor to laugh. She's right, I've never watched a women's game until last years lsu vs Tennessee. Angel made a layup and celebrated with a tik tok dance. Since then I've glued to the diff personalities on the team 💜💛💜
LSU is literally the reason I’m into basketball in general, now I’m elite in sports betting. More educated, and intrigued. But still, I enjoy NO other game pro or college more than LSU🫶🏽
You basically support a woman who behaves like a piece of 💩 on purpose? She can't accept anybody else's opinion but we're forced to put up her stankin ass attitude?
This woman is not to be F’d with. The more they push her, the more her team steamrolls. Mind you, somehow they’re winning with a limited bench. This is an incredible display of coaching, IMO.
Media is cool. But I don't think players and coaches should reveal their gameplan or parts of it. It takes away from the potential performance of the game - especially if I'm the opposing team watching my opponents interview(s). I really have to say that, pre-game interviews are unnecessary. Let these teams focus for their games.
Hate her all you desire, she still is one of the top 15 of all time for both men's and women. She's won at every level and those that did not like playing for her have already told their stories, BG, OS and others so so what, Bobby Knight wasn't that liked either but his players always respected the person in charge
The same people who support her called Dawn Staley a racist because she pulled her team from playing BYU because of, you guessed it, a racist incident, you can't make this up.
