Back in the late 1950s and early 1960s LSU and Ole Miss had become an epic rivalry, with both teams at the top of the polls. After three tough, low scoring losses to LSU, Ole Miss finally beat LSU 15-7 in 1962. After the game, the Ole Miss QB summed up the way the Rebels felt by saying "We simply got tired of losing to these folks." As an LSU fan I have much the same feeling about this game.... 😂 The best thing I can say about it is "Damn, sure took us enough tries." 😂

Edwards-Helaire and the O line were the MVPs of this game. That spin move and the final rushing TD were unbelievable. And the 3rd down catch that he made to extend the drive in the 4th qtr was awesome too

Even though we lost, this is one fantastic game to watch. I love watching the enthusiasm as Bama battled back to within 6 points in the 3rd. Hats off to Joe Burrow and company for their season. Definitely the best team in the country that year.

@@Fenistamagic It's still hard for me to not say that Clemson was the beneficiary of a pass interference call in January of 2017, but it's also a play that rarely gets called, so you gotta defend it. Clemson won that championship. I try to call it like it is as well. Props.

LSU dominated for the most part. A team on a mission and playing with heart, grit and determination. They hadn't beaten Alabama in 8 years and in their minds a victory against Bama was long overdue. Especially after Alabama dominated LSU and held them scoreless in Baton Rouge in 2018. Always a heavyweight fight when Alabama and LSU meet. The best of the best. Auburn and LSU is always physical as well, no matter the ranking of either team. Congrats to LSU on bringing home another natty in 19 and props to Alabama for clawing, scrapping and fighting throughout this game and for their 11 win season and bowl win over Michigan. Love these match ups. The SEC dominates college football.

This was the greatest college football game ever played. This win meant more to LSU fans than anyone that's from outside of Louisiana could ever imaging. Thanks to all the players from both teams for putting on the greatest college game in history.

I've always tried to soak up the moments and be grateful to witness these Championship runs. Most teams, good teams too, never even sniff LSU's level of sustained greatness. But this team seems different. I'm really enjoying reliving all the moments of last year's championship run, more than previous years. Maybe bc I'm not in my 20's, or technology makes it easier to bask. But I'm with you. All my youtube sessions seem to end up watching some sort of video from this perfect season.

As a Tide I am convinced of two things. First LSU fans were starting to sweat when Bama was slowly bringing that score up (how many times has Bama done that ultimately leading to a win?!) Second, I am convinced that after last years loss to us, that same night Jo ventured deep into the depths of the Bayou and sold his soul to the Devil. The proof is how good he played in every other game after that loss. All jokes aside I don't think we will ever see another college team as special as this LSU team. It sucked falling victim to you (after almost coming back) but as a fan of the sport what a joy it was to watch!(except that part when we loss LOL) RTR!!!

It could have been so much worse. That punt return was a lucky one (the dude is a beast, but getting turned around like that and having open grass) and the 4th and 1 where LSU has delay of game. And the fake out on Stingley for the big TD, and also playing man at the end of the game????

This game has become THE PERRENIAL game of college football the past decade. It led last year in viewership of regular season games with 17.5 MILLION. Next closest was an Ohio St game with 12 million. It's been this way for years now. You know why it's like this? EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THE ATHLETICISM OF THESE TEAMS ARE THE TOP THERE IS.

IMO the play of the game as the game was the 3rd and 10 shoestring catch and run by CEH. bama had all the momentum and i think bama would've tied it after the FG would've put us up by 8. that catch and run imo Iced it.

That throw and catch at the 2:22 minute mark by Burrow to Hellaire, which was 3rd and 10, with Bama rallying back and having all the momentum; was the play of the game. If they didn't make that play Bama would of got the ball back and took the lead, instead LSU got the 1st down and then a TD. That was a game-changing and game-saving play for LSU.

He caught a TD to geaux up 33 to 13 before half, spun on a defender and ran in, a bama tried to rip the ball and he just went through him. And lastly, he and the offensively line bust through the weakened wall for a 1st down so we can kneel it. So satisfying. 😁😁😁😁

The first time I saw Joe Burrow play i believe he was a junior. He was very slow, uncoordinated, weak, actually clumsy looking. What a difference one year and a new offensive coordinator makes. Joe will go down as one of the great QB's ever.

At ~ the 30 minute mark, when 'Bama was penalized for having 12 men on the field, the analyst remarked that Burrow snapped the ball quickly, because he could see 'Bama had too many men on the field. The analyst furthered that "Burrow got away with it." ?? Burrow's move was smart football. Yet, the analyst said that Burrow got away with it, as if to say he made a mistake.

Damn this game reminds everyone of how good tua actually is. People talking like he a bum now and actually rating herbert higher lol. If he was healthy it be burrow and tua neck to neck. Such a shame he got injured

He wasnt injured once man, he is ALWAYS hurt. Most of his yards are actually the receivers making plays as well, around 70% of his yards were after the catch.. for comparison Burrow had 40% yac.

I was kinda thinking the same as Street Fighter when I rewatched the game. His deep ball is laser-guided, nearly every single one. Two great quarterbacks faced off; Tua was good but BDJoe was near perfect. Geaux Tigers!

Alabama might have done better with Tua on the sideline. 'Bama forfeits the game but lets Harris keep it close, gets Tua healthier in the coming week so they can win out, and get at least a major bowl bid. Some of Saban's biggest career blunders have been caused by putting the best players unnecessarily in harm's way. Now Tua will have a ghost his whole career.

It's like watching Miami play Florida State back in the day cause the winner was going to play for the college football national Championship plus it was a heated rivalry & players on both sides are from the sunshine state

After watching this game over and over..it looks as though Tua did something to his hip in this game. The first half, Tua took a awkward slide right leg forward into a LSU defense player. Commentators say his ankle was bothering him rest of game..but I think it was his hip this time along with the ankle. And the the big injury followed shortly after this game

Not sure if it was a hip he hurt but he was definitely limping as he walked off the field when the game had ended. Of course several Alabama fans immediately used this as an excuse to say, see he's hurt and played not even close to 100% and that's why we lost. I guess they didn't notice that this limp he had at the end of the game was NOT on the same leg with the ankle injury LOL

@@joshuabergeron3161 they try to use that excuse as if LSU wasn’t hurting with injuries themselves, especially on defense. Imagine the outcome of this game had LSU been 100 percent on defense like they were the last 4-5 games of the year. Injuries are a part of the game, it happens.

There are 18 players who ended up being 1st round draft picks between both teams in this game. Think about that one for a minute. This game for sure was one of the better college football games of my lifetime. This game had so much of an impact on college football this particular season.
