If the LT Wright Genesis Scandi impressed you as much as it did us, then pay close attention to the LT Wright Illuminous 5. It is everything the GS is...but on steroids. An outstanding blade that delivers!
This is an older video but I wanted to mention that Spen from JRE Industries designed the Illuminous 5 by the way. It’s one of my favorite LT blade designs and I agree that JRE makes some great sheaths too! Good video sir!
I own this knife. I can tell you it’s a cross between a bushcraft and a survival knife. But doesn’t compromise on the handling much, as in can do most tasks a smaller blade can do, within reason.
@@wesleyhobbs9 Hello and thanks for the questions. Because it has beeswax incorporated in the ingredients, it does repel water and moisture very well on steel, leather, canvas, and even wood handles.
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately we have not seen the Shemanese, a knife that was designed by Craig Caudill, owner of Nature Reliance School, and made for him by LT Wright. However, with that being said, Craig is a top-shelf outdoorsmen that fully understands what needs to go into a knife to make it successful. Putting the actual build into the hands of LT Wright and his crew was very smart, as they are truly one of the top Knife making shops in the USA. I can't see any take-aways on the Shemanese. As for the Illuminous 5, I have been using it exclusively since the day it arrived in our office. It has been impressive all around. Let us know what you decide.
