I have been despondent along with millions of others around the world who have seen what the media won't show. We all need to unite in order to stop the madness. I wish for peace for all! The Lebanese government requested US assistance, not Israel, which assistance was provided along with France and Italy in the evacuation of the PLO from Lebanon. Israel was only involved tangentially as the target of hostility from the Islamic elements within Lebanon and other Arab countries that attacked Israel, unprovoked, in 1948 and ever since.
