Amazing time in 2017 with LOWQUI, GQ & the crew on the Beach at OUTLOOK! Can’t wait to be back this year to do it all again, and give a proper send off to the Fort! 🙌🏽🏰🇭🇷 OUTLOOK 2019 Details ☞ bit.ly/2VYV6ER
I am 41.. I remember as a kid doing a paper round in the cold wet whether. Listening to Bukem on my walkman. I had a big smile on my face then as I do now.
i'm 48 and saw Bukem 4 times last year, even met him at Fabric. Lovely, humble guy. Seeing him again in 2 weeks, and again at a festival in May 😎 I love him so much 💫❤💫
LTJ outstanding as always - I don't have the words to express what your music means to me - all I can say is thanks for the music, good times and memories - a true pioneer. Been feeling the vibe since the first time I heard you play back in 91' - hooked from the beginning - much love to you & all the DnB family.
I'm 50 in 2 year's time n still feeling the beats n dirty sub Bass lines , 1992 i think it was, remember the night that i was just ready n about to get into Bukems set in Stevenage, bat dance i think it was called.. I thought the sirens was the intro to the set, untill the power went..!! I then realised that it was the real thing to end the night with a full blown riot..!! Manaman was on roof of the building with hose pipes cooling the police off n all sort but they was having none of it..!! They were the days..!! ?
Well... style and all aside, funk and groove is funk and groove! Been listening to this cat since early 90's, seen him live, the whole bit. All I know is the massive sound and era of this groove STILL makes me bob my head, tap my toes and shake something... ya heard!? Just enjoy the groove and be thankful we're even able to listen at all. Some, many don't have the luxury...yaaa dig. If you get a moment, peep the video of him in the beginning of his career. It shows his commitment, hard work, struggles and a good deal of why he's a G🤔👍🏽👌🏽👏🏽👑🎉🎊💜
Best Drum and Bass DJ ever, bar none. A close second, DJ Fox from Weekend Rush. I can remember Bukem playing at Life Utopia Tasco Warehouse in 1992, been locked on ever since. Big up.
I visited sessions with Danny for two times, in 2007 and 2021 in Moscow. GLR fan from 2000. This one is a really good mix and perfomance, wish I was there :) But Conrad would have rocked that party like nobody!
Me too. These guys are fine but bukem and connie had a synergy that is unmatched. Saw them tons at gigs in London and every one was awesome. A special duo and it’s sad they parted ways but Conrad still does gigs with Makoto and those guys and still rocks it.
MCs can seem intrusive when you listen to it like this, esp. with this thin sound off the video mic. But I went to several of Bukem's nights, way back in the day (great times; I really miss the 90s!), and remember that, with the full sonic spectrum on a club system, the MC felt completely integral to the set and enhanced the experience. Mind you, that was Conrad, and he was something special. Still love Danny's music to this day.
No doubt, they had a unique blend. I think anyone who's a fan of Bukem & Conrad would love for them to settle their differences and get back together again.
There is definitely a mixing problem on this stream. MC's voice are way too on the front, and tunes are hard to hear. But yes, Conrad.. Those were the days
I remember seeing him live @ Nations in DC or was it Baltimore @ Sonar... I don't know my memory wont allow me to remember those time for fear of what I might find. It was both why am I lying to myself.
Looking forward to seeing you at kelburn, I'll be up front with my public enemy t-shirt on rocking it, May the creator s countenance shine upon you and yours peace.
