I've been looking for this set for a long time but have never been able to find it online, only the 2001 re-released version where the mixed CD was replaced with the 'Ministry of Sound Half A Decade Of Dance' 96 live set and different tracks on the un-mixed CD. I brought a 2nd hand copy from Discogs.com after losing my original copy of CD back in 2005.
CD-A features 10 of the best intelligent DnB tracks ever made (un-mixed), each track easily stands on its own but I don't like uploading full tracks unmixed - it feels like too much of a copyright infringement - plus I never listen to unmixed tracks - hopefully my mix does 'em justice.
As always, all props to the artists, producers n engineers that made these tracks, nuff respect to all the Goodlooking family.

it's funny how these beats take us all to the best and worst of times.. LTJ! this was the soundtrack that i listened to when i found out that my daughter had cancer.. i drove for eight hours with these beats.. i switched over to some bukem/conrad half way through the drive.. i'll never forget.

Thanks for the compliments, glad you like the mix - it's not surprising you haven't heard of me, I stopped playing out and on pirate radio in 2001. I mostly got work playing garage and oldskool (88-91) although my first love is DnB but very hard to break through it that scene... I'm kinda glad that most of the tracks are not on youtube as they belong to an era when the internet didn't exist and getting the music out there was very much more organic. Basically you got to buy it, which I did and its a golden, such an era defining album. Standout track after standout track. Demons Theme blew me away when I first heard it at AWOL Paradise Club in Islington in 1992. So far ahead of its time and still relevant today. BOOM! Nice mix though.

I remember when this CD first came out as I was transitioning from Disco to Drum & Bass beats. I still have the album but though of it this morning. Your right, no internet and trying to find your style of sound was like going to the local library to find that rare book you had to read.

Completely agree bud. You got to own this music (and gone to the trouble of finding it back in the day) to really appreciate it. Drum and Bass WAS an underground - technology today makes underground irrelevant. Liking music nowadays is as easy and flippant as clicking a like button. Demons theme and the western (with Conrads vocals) for me too were eye openers into a scene I now consider my fav type of music. Cheers!

While I understand where you're coming from (Ive got a copy on vinyl) I'm wish tracks like western (with Conrad's vocal) were on RU-vid. That way the new generation of dnb and jungle heads could hear the classics that inspired us. I'd rather new Headz had access to it for musical knowledge sake. Some of those tunes are too important to the genre to let die off simply because people couldn't access them. The young Headz think an old school classic is a song from 2017. Imagine if they got to hear some real classic songs like Atlantis and intern labels like good looking and reinforced. To back up what I'm saying, I came here looking for western with Conrad on it to educate a mate on jungle and show that poms were rapping ten years before Dizzee rascal came along. Now I'll just go back empty handed. Opportunity lost.

This was a tripple CD set...anyone know where i can find the 3rd CD of this? I have mine but it snapped in half when i was cleaning it..brittle as fuck after so many years 😏 pls..anyone?

I have the original release and it's a 2 disc set - not sure where you got the 3rd CD from?? It was released in 2001 and they changed the tracks used on both CDs (not sure if they included a 3rd CD in the 2001 release as I don't have that one on CD). You can buy the original 1996 release & the 2001 version 2nd hand from Discogs.com

hey, I think you can time stamp when you share - i.e. if it's playing when you click the share link - I think it starts from that time when someone clicks the link you post... You can also download the full set for free from my Soundcloud page and do with it as you please
