did anyone else notice the wolf attacking the dragon at the end sure looks like the dreadwolf in his wolf form. look closely and you can see the wolf has multiple eyes.
Cool and exciting? Inquisition looks more cool and exciting than this. Games shouldn't be going backwards. When we saw the gameplay and world of DA2 we knew it wasn't cool and exciting coz we were coming from DA origins. You can't with a straight face and logical mind say this looks better than inquisition....
@@kronosleblu888 not sure if you realized but inquisitor and veilguard are two different games. inquisition is a very good game, this game also looks very good. you cant with a straight face and logical mind tell me this trailer doesn’t tell a very compelling story
@@kronosleblu888Some of us wait until the game is actually out before judging it too much. We aren't all super reactionaries who spend months obsessing over hating something before it's even released. I think the game looks interesting, but even if I didn't, I would wait until it came out before discounting it.
This trailer is such a u-turn it demonstrates EA’s panic. They went from a cringey, cartoonish, gen-z targeting, heist team-up montage of all the wacky, zany, quirky, diverse companion characters, with a female qunari warrior in the thumbnail, to a relatively generic/formulaic trailer that mostly focuses on the player character Rook, who they could have made anyone but chose to make a bog-standard, traditional dude in armour, with his face on the thumbnail, they even chose to “spoil” the Morrigan reveal after clearly trying to keep her a secret in an bid to win back the original Dragon Age fanbase, after utterly alienating them with the first abominable trailer.
@@kiwipopshonestly my comment was more about the pivot in the way they’re marketing the game, at least from my perspective, this felt to me like they’re desperate to revive the excitement for the game that the first trailer largely killed, even if *you* liked it (and you’re welcome to do so), you can’t deny the amount of negative feedback it got.
You are not stupid about the dwarf. It IS impossible to play dwarves as mages in DAI. It is explained that they lack the connection to lyrium or the fade or something. They explained it in the The Descent DLC of Inquisition, I think (it's been years since I played it I don't remember). Whatever is happening to Harding is abnormal and isn't supposed to happen. It's an anomaly, kind of like the dwarf in DA:O who does the enchantments.
It's because of what Solas did in the prologue of the game. I think the connection with the veil is too much stronger now and is affecting the dwarfs. The magic might be stronger now.
It probably has something to do with the titans. They connected dwarves to the stone. Solas's ritual probably woke them allowing dwarves to reconnect with them
your reaction to Morrigan was actually mine too!!!!!!! i didnt realize it was her at first until i HEARD her and saw her at the same time lol :) i am so happy she is back and i LOVE that her look is a combination of all her eras AND Flemeth's! Was an amazing way to pay homage and I agree with Claudia's voice too! its like super soothing and comforting. like if my world was ending i would desperately need her voice to get me through it lol but the crown... Flemeth's crown I am so curious!! when you said, " I feel like i had lower expectations..." i had never felt more seen! I am so excited for Zevran, I really hope he comes back! The Dread Wolf also looks amazing :) Harding absolutely DID magic and it was glorious!!! All i can think of Dagna and how this affects her!!!! Honestly, at this point with everything crashing down i think there has to be a Broodmother tucked in there somewhere I just cant wait to see my Inqy #SolavellanHell
"Dragon Age has always been realistic" No, it wasn't. DAVe, is in large part, updated DAO without the "dirty window" filter. I have no idea how people can look at goofy and/or grotesque proportions present in DAO and say "yeah, that's realistic". It's not. Also - Dragon Age NEVER had stylistic continuity. Virtually every DA to date looked different. As for stylization vs realism - stylised games will likely age better than realistic games, even by virtue of doing their own thing, instead of looking just about the same as most AAA games released at this time. There's a reason why animated movies/series "Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse", "Arcane" and "Puss in Boots: Last Wish" were so sensational when they got released, and are so well-remembered - it's because on the backdrop of virtually same-y Disney-fied and Pixar-fied animations they stand out as more original.
@@bonedrone9869 This is a funny comment. Like, nobody would bat an eye at this in 2014, but after a decade of technological developments, the definition of "photorealism" has... well, let's just say that nobody playing Inquisition in 2024 would call the art style photorealistic.
there HAS been stylistic continuity, it has continuously looked more and more like a cartoon and continuously gone down the toilet from the original with bright flashy lights, colors and spectacle when what MADE dragon age were the quiet moments.
OK I'm STILL angry AF about the combat and the ME-ification of Dragon Age, and the companion skins being so cartooney, but the LORE in that trailer! There's SO MUCH to unpack. This trailer is SO much better than the first two reveals! The NPC's are gorgeous, and the world itself is stunning.
This might be a repercussion of The Well of Sorrows in DAI. Like Morrigan was more throughly taken over if she drank. But in that case what if the Inquisitor drank?
@@KoiPuff some theory I came up is that maybe Flemeth manipulated Morrigan into willingly giving her body to Flemeth by promising Mythal's power (even through we saw the powers was already absorbed by Solas) to defeat the Old Gods that maybe wrong her (and her child if you conceived one) at some point and Flemeth motive to use Morrigan's body to get revenge on Solas.
Some of the companion models are definitely different here compared to the reveal trailer. Maybe that reveal trailer was made a while ago using old models or something? (But then why release it at all?)
So why wasn't she doing magic in inquisition? Why is she referred to as the hero of the inquisition in veilguard? What did she do that gave her that title?
you know, seeing a lot of the comments these days about this and other upcoming games made so sad about the fact that Yes, most of the AAA industry has become a shadow of what it was... but also that a lot of the gaming community has become soo joyless and soo incapable of just enjoying games for what they are. people seem more eager for games to be bad so they can shit on them with their favorite streamer/youtuber, and when they wish for a game to be good is so they celebrate it mostly with the purpose of shiting on the other "bad" games anyway. in the past it was more than just "is GOTY or is Trash" for gaming. and that is without talking about the dumb childish "WAR/CRUSADE" of the Anti-Woke Vs Woke people... Sigh... maybe I'm just getting too old idk lol Sorry for the mini rant to whoever reads this. Nice reaction Lua!
@@nosvac Firstly, I completely agree with you, except for the point that most AAA games these days are bad. This is the narrative these people like to spin because of their backwater world view, but in reality... just look at 2023 and how many great games were released. None may be to everyone's taste, but there are many, many very good games being released that year, and it did not stopped there.
@@spacesushi210that woke thing as you put it does exist. Its very easy to understand, woke = the promotion of far left social ideologies. Those ideologies undeniably exist. I love Bioware games but they have definitely become woke.

When I saw one chat say that they are just using POC for "diversity points" I knew her chat stank. (Not the whole chat itself- idk how to word what I mean)
They have tweet all the characters faces and I have a feeling the combat is still going to be the 3 skill slots which is from Mass Effect this is weird to put three slots in a Dragon Age game which is supposed to be based on builds so I'm hoping there's more combos somewhere
There's 3 abilities for companions on the wheel, 5 for rook (if you include ultimate ability and runes), and most of the abilities that were previously activated abilities in previous games are now core parts of the kit of a class (for example rogues can use twin fangs, flank attack, parry, spinning blades, and deathblow which were all previously activated abilities in Inquisition are now just part of a rogues arsenal for combos). Also, you can use a bow in tandem with dual daggers instead of having to choose which to equip.
Yeah she overthinks. Lyrium infused Dragons Claudia Black from Farscape and DAO is back and Stargate .Must not forget that. How nice thank you Claudia. Yes they have given Harding magic but that is either because she has titan blood or because of the fade. Whether ths video did enough to save the game who knows. There is an enormous wave among male gamers against so called DEI/Woke influence and if this game is tainted by that is makes it difficult for it to succeed.
I think you're exaggerating to yourself the amount that normal people actually care about "woke" issues though, most people are just excited for games lmao. Like seriously who cares
@@kiwipops I really hope you are right about that... I'm tired of games suffering shits storms from this dumb "War" between people with too much free time.
Don't get me wrong, this trailer was rad, but do remember that this *is* the same company that gave us Andromeda and Anthem, not to mention the abuse, mismanagement, and "Bioware magic" they tried to employ. I'm gonna wait for Christmas for this one, regardless of how I feel. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I agree that Anthem was trash. ME:A on the other hand is one of the most underrated Bioware games and it was a great start to which was obviously meant to be the start to another trilogy. Unfortunately because of the hate (dont mean the justified critiscism here, but there was a lot of really dumb and unnecessary hate towards the game) we will never get to see what Bioware planned out for the Andromeda Trilogy.
@@endlezz2k11The first few hours of Andromeda aren’t great and is where a lot of the original valid criticism stemmed from. But after the game starts opening up it becomes pretty enjoyable just like any other ME or DA title, so I’d agree it’s pretty underrated. Drack in particular is a great character and it sucks that a lot of people never made it far enough to play the loyalty missions.
@@endlezz2k11 Hey, i'm glad you found great enjoyment from it. Everyone has their tastes, and as long as you don't hurt anyone with said taste, I'm all for it.
@@Kumquats83 A sign is good, but it's only a sign. Again, I'm waiting. If I'm wrong, and this game is rad as hell, I'll happily eat my words, hell, I HOPE it's great. But, I've been burned many a time, so forgive me if I'm going towards this one with my knife drawn.
It looks like an interesting fantasy and cinematic-heavy story, that being said, it doesn't look or feel like Dragon Age at all. They may very well surprise everyone and the game may actually be good game, but it wont be a good "dragon age" game. Dragon age gave players agency, it was gritty, it was nasty, ugly even, above all else, it was dark. In their attempt to capture more and newer fans, they lost the vast majority of the old ones, the ones who made the franchise so popular and beloved. The reality is that this game will flop and the studio will be shut down.w Them insulting the player base with "you wouldn't be able to handle controlling 3 characters" was probably the final nail. Games like BG3 and ER proved that people desire agency and rewarding hardship, this game doesn't seem like it brings those to the table if anything, it actively runs away from them.
To me, that stereotype "suppose-to-be-Asian" look of the elf girl sicken me the most. Just release the game with mod-compatibility might have me interested since we can technically rid of some WOKE contamination and fix the game in some degree.
Video GAMES. here for enjoyment and fun! After this trailer those that claim it looks poor or what have you - showcase their bias and or lack of taste. Ong.
@Drack-eu7xm I've been playing since Origins and have every novel, comic, etc. I'm still excited. You can be a 'real fan' and be excited. The problem is that instead of giving criticism of the game, you just said it's horrid in response to someone being excited about it.
