One time I hitched on my friends car and he got up to 30 mph. This was the fastest I have ever gone and I can’t even imagine trying to pop a trick at that speed.

Funny story: I met Luan in 2015 in Los Angeles at th Santa Monica court house. Talked with him and told him I think he could win the Street League that was taking place. He told me:"but nyjah is so good" and I told him but you are very good too. Then he won that streetlrague stop with the switch bigspin heel. I feel like I'm part of that win for motivating him. So happy.

Does anyone know what app they're using? Just curious on how the phone calculates the speed without an attachment... Video frame analysis?

That's pretty much the only way it could do so, do some calculations between frames. My guess is also it's overly sensitive and gives a lot of incorrect measurements. Ironically, cameras are pretty bad to judge speeds with when coming right at them or doing the whole 'follow in frame' thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the real speed is lower than what is recorded. But hey, it's going to be pretty insanely fast regardless.

When I play session my high pop setting doesn't have a number.... it's set to "Luan Pop" Which is prob like 13-15 lol man is an absolute demon!

I'm curious whether Luan's rotation could have caused the radar to indicate a lower speed than the actual one (his linear momentum and rotational speed seem to cancel each other out). Perhaps if the radar was located behind his back, the reading would be slightly higher.

If you havent done so already, you should do a video showing how this new way to measure their speed works to not have the same speed accuracy issues that the radar gun had.
