Pray for everyone who have fallen upon hard times and find themselves stuck in Lubbock. The place is a dry, windy hell hole that's situated within Tornado Alley, and it's far away from major destination points.
From your perspective, every place is a hell hole because of your negative attitude and presence. Once you move out, things brighten up considerably. Also representing yourself as one who believes in the power of prayer, is sacrilegious.
I am a Christian,@@MyOneFiftiethOfADollar, in that I believe there is but one God who is infinite, holy, creative, and administrative, and who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am also someone who was raised and resides in an affluent area of California, but suddenly has found himself having to seriously contemplate living elsewhere because of what democrats and the Left are doing to my once great state. The state of Texas is one of many I'm considering. Sorry, but from what I know about Lubbock, a place where my great grandfather was killed while serving as a police officer and where two of my uncles attended university, it would not be my first choice for residing in. My apologies if my feelings about Lubbock upset you.

Why God would allow such levels of inequality, I would advise that you to take that matter up with Him.
@@josey2490jr The town was alright but I got married in Lubbock and by our second anniversary my wife had passed. Because of that I can't EVER go back.

I was born in Lubbock - actually at Reese Air Force Base. But I lived in Lubbock until i was 7 and we moved to Dallas, TX. Lubbock is still my hometown!

Born and raised in Lubbock and ran as far as fast as I could there's nothing there then or now. Lubbock said no to a Helicopter company that want to come there and build helicopters then said no to Walmart to build a Distribution Center there. Helicopter company went to Amarillo and Walmart went north of Lubbock to a town u haven't heard of. Rees Air force base closed. If ur not in the medical\ police\ or Texas Tech fields there nothing else there but construction and Restaurant and sales that's all u get left in Lubbock. Oh I hope u like eating dirt bc the wind blows for months at a time with bad red dirt storms. I have lots of family still there they tell me weekly how they have such a murder rate its out of control. My mother told me again last week she ashamed of what Lubbock has become. She's lived in Lubbock 67 yrs now and she's 74. Please don't blow smoke and tell people its a great place to live. My town in North Texas is a great place to live and its Quiet. The City life is start 30 miles south.

Yep, were ranked like #3 in the nation. I've lived here for 30 years and never had or really even seen a problem. It's like anywhere else, if you go looking for trouble you can defiantly find it in Lubbock.
@@BW-kv9wj Property crime; DWI, & some sexual assaults at Texas Tech is pretty much what you will find in Lubbock so it's pretty safe. Other parts of Texas you better have a hot 16 in the Glock, but with the new law if you are 21 with a clean background you don't need a permit, crime is going to get real low in Texas.
My mom and dad went to Lubbuck about 50 years ago I had an aunt that lived there and I'm planning to visit there for the first time during Christmas with a visit to the Palo Duro Canyon included.

Please pause at 0:53... I cannot with that Texas hair. I've also been to Lubbock and its fine. My friend and I got in an Uber to head to a piano bar where the driver warned us to go straight in and come straight out. Not what we expected.
lubbock has no river and no unique local cuisine. its the in the middle of the desert. stay away from lubbock it is one of the worst and most BORING places on the planet.

UGH! I've been there 4 times for business and actually lived there for 6 months...Lubbock is dry, hot and FLAT. There's nothing to do there and the people there aren't that nice. Lubbock is also very socially BACKWARDS.
No. That's Houston. There's some oil production in and around Lubbock, but most of the oil production is in the Permian Basin (Midland-Odessa.) If it's still there, the large CoOp cottonseed mill is the only source of noxious vapors in Lubbock. Lubbock's industry is mostly in agriculture related areas.
Yes but not as common as the Oklahoma Texas border area, Wichita Falls is famous for tornadoes. I can remember a fair share of blizzards in a Lubbock and Amarillo.
