If I’m gonna use gan lube, how would I lube it? My first lube is gonna arrive tomorrow, and I’ve never lubed a cube (I recently got a gan 13 maglev and the pamphlet says if I don’t lube it daily, it can get damaged. Since I dont wanna dagmage a $70 cube, I wanna know how to lube it well using gan lube)
Dont lube it daily, do it either every 2 weeks, or every 2 months. since I dont know anything about gan lube, just start with a drop or 2 and see what happens, and add more if you feel it necessicary. What kind of lubes did you get? a speedy one? or a gummy one?
There are only 3 gan lubes. The No.1 (Mantainence) No.2 (Accel) No.3(Excel) I got all three of them. The first one is supposed to reduce friction in between the pieces. The second one makes it faster, but not uncontrollable. For the third one, I’m not sure what it does. There aren’t many videos on it. Edit: the third one makes the cube more controllable if it’s really loose and uncontrollable, like my MoYu 4x4 it really worked
My lube arrived! I’m happy with it. I lubed every puzzle I have and broke it in (oviously, I put the type of lube a certain puzzle needed). It even made my worst turning cube way faster! If you wanna try out yourself, it’s not so expensive. (WARNING: DO NOT USE ON STICKEREE CUBES. THE STICKERS WILL PEEL OFF RAPIDLY)
its alright, but ive been using SpeedCubeShop lubes, because better price, and longer lasting..... I used to use speedy, but it took so much to make the cube good.... if you do go to scs, use code OPULENT for a discount G
Slow is for the core and stability, and fast is to decrease piece friction on the outside, together it makes a well rounded cube, you can either use 2 fast lubes or 2 slows depending on preference
Cong's design was the brand that used to make cubes, they made one called the meying, and it was the best cube ever, but sadly they stopped making cubes like 6 years ago... There are still reviews of it on youtube though!!
fast is to gum up the core to stop it from popping, fast is for the pieces on the outside to speed up the pieces and decrease friction. its all an engineering equation of leverage on the piece, however some cubers do this, or use 2 slow lubes
