My 05 impala transmission was shifting hard from 1-2, and 2-3. I removed a gallon of fluid plus 10oz for the additive. The transmission shifts like butter now. Thank you lubegard, you saved me from a rebuild.

@@lubegardinternationallubri6870 I selected lubegard because I did lots of research on transmissions. It was the liquid wax esters that interested me. Sperm whale oil was essential in the early automatic transmissions. No other competitors gave any science or history to back their claims.

did your impala have p1811 (max adapt long shift)? My trans runs pretty good and shits great when the fluid is cold. Once the fluid gets hot then it has trouble. I would imagine the clutch packs are worn I already swapped some fluid from the top and added lucas oil. It's helped but the problem still occurs when the fluid is hot.

@@johnames6430 It only threw an oxygen sensor code. I was never getting any trans codes. Those trans do well with Castrol dex/merc and up to 20 oz of lubegard red. At some point the clutch packs just are gone, but I've seen some Impalas with 250k on their original trans.

We had my 2007 Sienna fully loaded with four big adults and three kids. Please note that the history of this van was well maintained by Toyota but may have done lots of short tripping or what not. Anyway, on a hill I noticed the 1-2 shift had a shudder. I had read up and no one else I could find had experienced this. Without the car loaded and under light throttle, it was there. Hard acceleration would make it go away but light throttle, it just had this annoying shudder. I drained 10oz out and dumped the bottle in. The shudder was gone within 3 miles. I also feel the rest of the shifting, which wasn't bad at all, is even smoother. THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT PRODUCT!!

Does this product work in high extreme conditions over 40c? And how many times should be used?
@lubegardinternationallubri6870
Yes it does. Our product is designed for extreme temperatures. We recommend a treat rate of 1oz of Lubegard to 1 qt of transmission fluid. A maximum of 2oz lubegard to 1qt of transmission fluid can be administered and should not be exceeded.
@lubegardinternationallubri6870
Re-reading, and to be more specific about your question - Once added to the ATF, our additive will last for the life of the fluid. Once your atf is flushed, swapped, changed, drained, etc. (there's so many names for an ATF service these days) you can then add another bottle of our product to your transmission. Thanks!

Which is better black or red?
@lubegardinternationallubri6870
Hi Homero - Red and black are parallel products that offer similar solutions, however they are for different applications. The premium version of red is platinum High-performance ATF protectant. Red is merely a protectant that increases atf performance and is a multi-vehicle additive. Black is applications specific and has friction modifiers in it that alter the fluids properties, thus allowing you to use a cheaper base fluid to fill your transmission, add our bottle of black, and it performs at a higher level equal to the more expensive OEM fluid. The platinum is a combination of both, it has all the benefits of the red, black, and green bottles all in one bottle, and then some! Platinum is there to eliminate all confusion of which product to use in case you don't know, or care to look up the right fluid (or just ask us!) Always be sure to reference our OEM ATF & Conversion Chart as well as your owners manual for full usage instructions. Our Chart can be found here - www.lubegard.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/OEM-ATF-Conversion-Chart.pdf. Please let us know any other questions. Happy Motoring

Hello Igor - Our product contains a friction modifier to eliminate shudder and hard shifting. If you add too much friction modifier, that can result in slippage. Can i use on my 6dct450 getrag powershift? My car is dodge journey 2.0crd 2009 europe model, automatic transmission.
@lubegardinternationallubri6870
@lubegardinternationallubri6870 2 года назад
Hello - The 6DCT450 is a wet clutch DCT. There is no reason the 60902 could not be used in wet clutch DCT fluid. Same treat rate (these units have bigger sumps than the dry clutch) and the benefits derived are the same seal conditioning, frictional stability and improved lubricity for efficiency the step automatics need.

I have a doubt regarding the level, should I leave the fluid already at the level and then put the lubegard platinum or should I leave it just below the level to add the product?
@lubegardinternationallubri6870
@lubegardinternationallubri6870 4 года назад
Hi Marcos, you can add the Lubegard to your transmission if your fluid is at or below the fill line. We would recommend draining 10 oz of fluid if your ATF is above the fill line. thank you

Spyro - it depends if you're doing a top off or full fluid change, you have some options for both. The red one (P/N 60902) & Platinum (P/N 63010) can be used as a top off with the Mercon V. If you'd like to upgrade your fluid, you can use Dexron VI instead and then add our Green bottle (P/N 62005) or again the Platinum bottle (P/N 63010). Please send us an email at Contact@lubegard.com if you have additional questions. Thank you

So you've seemingly discovered some secret sauce that the OEM's and manufacturers couldn't figure out?
@lubegardinternationallubri6870
Actually yes! And with a little help from Dr. Phillip Landis - the former head of Mobil Oil Applied Lubrication Research Group (maybe you've heard of Mobil 1?), and through his formulation of the LXE, Liquid Wax Ester, Technology as a direct molecular replacement for sperm whale oil. We're protected by a patent that cannot be copied. Liquid Wax Ester (LXE®) was first developed and patented as a synthetic replacement for sperm whale oil. The structure and performance of LXE is similar to that of natural sperm whale oil, and is one of the world's largest known ester chains. The synthetic ester has a structure that binds the molecules together tightly, thus allowing flow at low temperatures while maintaining oxidative stability. Because it has very little unsaturation, it is much more stable than many other synthetic molecules. All of this has lead to OEM approval - We're the only chemical in the automotive industry with 8 technical service bulletins put out by the OE's that specifically name Lubegard as the fix.

Lubegard • International Lubricants Inc. I'd like to believe you, but the additive market is so polluted with products that are over hyped by the marketing department that it's hard to.
@lubegardinternationallubri6870
I'll keep it short and simple, we haven't gotten by depending on marketing for 40 years. When your mechanic says it's time to rebuild your transmission and it's going to cost $3,000-4,000, and you just don't feel like shelling out that kind of money for a vehicle that you don't plan to keep for much longer, give our Instant Shudder Fixx a try, it's about $6-9 depending where you shop. You won't have a concern about believing anyone but seeing it work for yourself. Thanks for the views and happy motoring!

RFI-Crypto Lab I can also confirm that Lubegard products are one of the very few aftermarket additives that really do work, and are both safe & effective. I've used their Lubegard Red Transmission Protectant as well as Lubegard Biotech for my engine oil on several different vehicles over a period of many years (as well as recommending it to several friends who also had positive results) and I actually felt an improvement in my vehicle's overall performance, and with no ill effects. Lubegard is also the only known additive company that has ever received OEM recommendations and approvals, and if that doesn't show you that they're a major cut above the rest then I don't know what will.
