This is a song written for Luc Nilis, one of the best Belgian football players ever. It was released before the 1994 FIFA World Cup as part of the 'Hurray for Belgium' album. An album including songs about the major Belgian national team players at that moment.
Luc Nilis enjoyed a successful career in his country Belgium with Halveweg Zonhoven, Winterslag and RSC Anderlecht and, in particular, in the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven. He played in England as well, for Aston Villa FC. Nilis performed at the 1994 and 1998 World Cup and EURO 2000. In 1995 he was awarded as Best Player of the Dutch Premier League.
