Si collapsed a bit under the pressure. Poor safety and taking on increasingly crazy shots in an attempt to just win a frame and stop the rot. But in doing so he gave Luca so many chances. But saying that what a sensation he's been and I can't wait to see more of him. Never won a tournament let alone been on the biggest stage. He did amazingly well.

Considering that Luca Brecel has never gone beyond the first round at the World Championships before, the fact that he reached the Crucible final for the first time in his career makes his victory in the semifinals already historic. Not to mention he's winning of 11 frames in a row. It's a record of the World Championships. Breсel has wasted a lot of time in snooker on his bad habits. BUT as they say, better late than never

@Tommy Trombone Alex Higgins only turned professional in 1971 and won the World Championship in 1972 . Terry Griffiths won the World Championship in 1979 in his debut year.

Amazing comeback. Hope we see some of the quality he showed against Ronnie winning 7 in a row in the final. If it’s against Selby, glad there are 2 finalists with contrasting styles. The semi v Allen right now is a real slugfest. Couldn’t really endure a final like that so hope Luca plays his natural game. He’s shown twice that he has no problem coming from way behind to win.

I think that it's officially the best. When Dennis Taylor beat Steve Davis, the lead was 7-0 at one stage but this is more impressive. The semi final is a frame shorter so at 14-5 Si was only three frames away plus the gap was nine.

I must admit the one time boy wonder, more than 10 years ago, really is surprising me. I thought he didn't have the mindset and attitude to make it on the biggest stage, despite his enourmous talent. A Selby v Brecel final is a massive clash of styles,...but luca faces his hardest challenge when he tries to overcome Mr granite himself mark Selby,...but the brilliance of Brecel could be enough to claim the title,....but to do that he's got to have the match of his life , because Selby will grind and use is brilliant matchplay craft to the full, and if he does, I think he'll have to much for the dangerous Belgian,....I think Selby as to much in all departments and I think he'll claim a 5th World title , with a 18-13 score,...but I wouldn't be surprised if the unpredictable brilliance of Brecel could turn this match on its head , and claim the win ........fascinating to see how it pans out , ...could be a classic

This result exaplin the forces in game. Brecel with more experience in the end got Ji. Ji was an immense player in the world championship and someone we surely see in the future. Amazing. I actually really love Lucas style of play, after his comeback in the Ronnie game. I was thinking he’s mentally drained after that. I said no way he’s coming back from their. Not with Si…..but omg the odds were amazing. Even a €10 on it 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Jimmy White v Stephen Hendry in the final was probably the greatest comeback for a major event. The amount of frames won in a row might be a record, but in terms of coming back to win, Stephen Hendry probably takes that. I always wanted Jimmy White to win the World championship as a kid. I remember being absolutely gutted.

Luca Brecel. He's fantastic to watch. He reminds me of Alex Higgins. He's not afraid to take on very risky shots. His comeback against Si was incredible and showed tremendous character and talent. TODAY (Sun)... I think Mark Selby has to up his game and start taking on more risky shots than he normally would to win. I don't think his normal game is up to it against Luca. Playing like he does, never fearless, Luca could easily lift the Trophy today and it's him who i have my money on. Fortune favours the brave and Luca is as brave as they come.
