I really liked the song, because he was finally able to say what he wanted.. I think I watched the Plan A video to read the lyrics, but watched Plan B just for the choreo, which I loved. Im happy he’s finally back.

Definitely, anytime someone decides to stand up for themselves/being confident and talking their shi, haters will definitely try to take that and twist it against them. Lucas has been through so much yet he's still thriving, I believe he deserves to say what he said🥹🙏

Lucas can always sing. When he was in WayV, there’s a track called “King Of Hearts”, along with Winwin, Hendery, and Yangyang sang. It was eye opening to hear them sing. They were under utilized vocalists. He’s back with vengeance with an improved and new Lucas.

I was just like you. When I first watched A, I was like well ok. I was very happy he addressed the haters, but song wise I wasn't so sure. After watching B, I was all in. The energy Lucas gives when performing is amazing. I am so glad he's back.

This went on my playlist immediately, I love it. Some of it might be because he’s calling out the haters, but mostly because it’s super catchy and he sounds so good. I don’t normally gravitate towards rap heavy songs either but this style of rapping I can get behind. I watched the come back live and he was so nervous the poor boy, but he did really well.

I like this song so much!!! I think it might be my favourite of the year so far. I've had it on repeat since yesterday! It's so catchy, his voice really cool and his delivery very interesting, and he has great presence. About the chorus, I know it reminds me of the soundtrack of a Japanese anime movie but can't remember which one. I think it was maybe Ghost In The Shell? Or was it Akira? Not sure. Would anyone know? I never thought of it like that! The chant is a sample that quite a few classic hip-hop artists have used when doing this style of rapping which is in line with the old-school hip-hop vibe he seemed to be going for. But I can see how your interpretation works as well!

Renegade is Lucas speaking his truth. It’s not my favorite either but I put it on my everyday playlist anyway because Lucas deserves the rotation and plays. “Crushing On You” is my favorite from his album, its so chill and summery ☺️

Is there anyone who knows enough about rap in the comment section? I ask because i read so many comments, on twitter, about him rapping off beat and…I don’t hear it…Can someone please explain it to me lol? I asked a couple of my friends and my uncle, that have knowledge about rap, to listen to his song and they said that they don’t hear anything off beat.

I haven't checked if he contributed to the song in any way, but I have to say, debuting with this song, with the lyrics it has was quite ballsy. The part where he says he is the fan favorite had me going "oh shit". The song itself is not the worst song I heard but it's also not the best if I make sense? I am curious to check out the other songs to see what they're like. I'm afraid to say though that from what I have seen, he's being dragged left and right. Lots of people are saying he isn't even the one singing on the song. I find it a bit sad because I always thought he was talented? But it seems like a lot of people think the only thing he had was his visuals.
