Referencing both their issues with abuse, both receiving it and inflicting it was such good writing. It takes a lot to shut up Ste and James and I’m glad that they’re mature enough to acknowledge it and not be defensive about it. Both Ste and James would have previously lashed out at a second’s notice whenever their flaws were pointed out. Calmly sitting there is progress. Also I think they’re really living vicariously through Lucas. Neither of them got a teenage love story. They want that for Lucas because they never had that themselves.
this part of the storyline has me ENTERTAINED. i do think they should take a break to deal with their trauma but it’s not my business nor misbah. you can say what you want but forcing people to not be together will just ruin your relationship with the person.
Not Misbah's "And whose fault was that?", and me remembering all those months ago, when she was the one who asked Carter to start looking out for Lucas behind his parents back, because she decided Lucas needed better guidance in his life to help with his behavior issues, and poor home life. I wish Ste, James, Lucas, and Dillon eventually learn that she was the one who asked Carter to start interfering in Lucas's life in the first place. I love Misbah sometimes, but sometimes, I swear she is the Queen of busybodies, and the Queen of avoiding all personal responsibility for any damage her actions cause. Like when Ste was at Lucas's bedside after he almost died from self harming, and Ste told her that Carter had did this to Lucas, you could actually see the realization, and worry that she might get in trouble, come over her, the very instant she realized she had caused this to happen to Lucas, by getting Carter involved. Yet not even once, did she even think "Maybe I should tell Ste and Lucas it was me who got Carter to involve himself in Luca's life, and ask them for forgiveness. It was a mistake. I didn't know this would happen.." Or anything along those lines would have been something at least, but instead, she immediately wanted to have Lucas arrested. Yeah, Ste and James both agreed to let Lucas be in that special school program, but Carter only came up with that program, after he decided to convert Lucas, and he only decided to convert Lucas, after Misbah told him about Lucas's home life, and asked him to mentor him as if she were Lucas's parent. Her and the Lucas hate, needs to simmer down, or she needs to take some accountability for the months of mental and physical abuse that boy went through, just because she had to be a busybody. Carter still gets most of the blame though.
Misbah needs to mind her own business. She acts like what happened wasn’t a result of conversion therapy triggering Lucas. If she had minded her own business and not get Carter involved with Lucas, they wouldn’t be having problems now.
She is also being wildly hypocritical. She's saying Ste and James can't have an opinion because they were both victims of abuse and their judgement are clouded because of it- yet she is fine judging despite herself being abused by Imran?? And I would not take relationship advice from her anyway.... any one seen Zain recently? Didn't think so.
@@remruna3538 I think she meant that they were both victims and abusers. James recently abused Lucas himself. James is happily married to Ste and Mac is dead, but the trauma of what Mac did is still deep in James. And so in a low moment and of stress, James struck out and harmed Lucas in horrible ways.
For the adults that care about them should really inform them about seeking therapy and Dillion and Lucas should not have to feel the pressure from adults about their own relationship and figure out their future themselves
Exactly. I get that they are comming from a place of concern and only want to protect the boys from further harm.... but they way they're going about it is doing nothing but harm. Misbah banning them from seeing each other will only cause them to sneak around and be unsafe, it's a tale as old as time. And James and Ste... bless them, they are trying their best but every "advice" of theirs so far has actually just been a tale of woe about their own failed relationships. It does nothing but put doubt in Lucas' head, the exact same reason Carter managed to get his claws in to him to begin with. Seriously, give the boys a number to a counsler if you're this worried and butt out, all three of them.
Misbah's a fine one to talk- after all that happened between her & Imran - the hypocrite 😒. If thinks she can split our boys that easily she really has another thing coming. The teens will have their way, one way or another. I loved how Ste gave her a dirty look at the end.
Adult interference has been a big problem in Lucas and Dillion's lives.Dillion left his mum bc she couldn't except who he is.Carter and Declan with the conversion therapy messed up Lucas. Misbah is another adult that has to interfer instead of trusting Dillion who is smart enough to make his own decisions. The violence from Lucas was because of Carter and Declan he's in a better place already and Misbah has ruined it.
AAAAAHHHHH I get why Dillon is hesitant He was sure of his feelings until the incident and wants to ease into things Lucas also just found his sense of freedom to be able to publicly be affectionate to the person he loves This is all so complicated on its own without an adult trying to tell them what to do instead of asking the boys seek counselling (separately) and thoroughly but calmly communicate their emotions to each other
I just hope that maybe they can get together after everything they’ve been through to be together. Some thing is separating them again from being together and Dillion will probably have to listen to her because that’s his guardian like his legal guardian so I feel like we might have to wait a little longer for them to get together and their relationship to actually work because he’s not gonna disregard what his guardian said
I mean they prob do need to slow down some, and they need therapy. However, Misbah is a hypocrite and a busy body. Plus guidance is what they need not the hammer being brought down, forcing them to be apart, is just going to push them closer
The reality is teenagers have sex. Dealing with that is different than giving them a big thumbs up. Regardless, Misbah should leave with Zain to Scotland and leave Dillon behind. He wants to be left behind and she is not realizing that Dillon is not a kid anymore. He deserves to make his own choices regardless of how old he is.
