This was invented a lonnnng time ago.. its called surfing. So you make the board smaller,, same sport.

Do you have fins in surfing? Yes! In skim you don't. And you also don't have a leash. SOOOOO a very very different sport.

Lol.. that’s even dumber then saying snowboarding & skiing are the same sport cause they both involve riding on snow. Pretty sure surfing most often involves paddling out to catch waves you paddle into & ride back towards the beach, not sprinting from the beach with a wafer thin board that hardly floats to gain enough momentum to hydroplane across wet sand towards the shorebreak & catch a wave you can ride right back up onto the sand. There are a lot of insanely talented professional surfers out there, who can tell you they’re not too great at skimboarding...
