Lucas Peterson I am flying in from Sydney next week and Tacos 1986 is my first stop. Originally from LA so really liking your new show. I heard you on “Good Food”.
dattack1970 pinches fresas hijos de papi, spoiled brats hahaha that area is for wealthy people.
I agree in TJ you have a lot more choices like average in TJ is really good but when you find a good taco spot in LA is usually better than anything I have ever had! taquizas gilberto on saturday and sunday if you know anything better than this please let me know! or los guichos al pastor Plus 1986 tacos fuckin suck lol I live literally across the street from there and the salsa tastes like wolfgang puck canned sauce
Right! There are so many actual street taqueros that make better tacos...you just have to go out of your comfort zone. Go to Reacomodo. And I didn't buy they lived in those areas. James Franco would be perfect for that arrogant prick. Lol
I had some of the best tacos of my life in TJ The place was literally a hole in the wall.. the senor behind the counter recommended cabeza de vaca This was back in 2004
jb there's a few really good places with cabeza tacos in tj. i moved here five years ago and i've had the best of the best. if i had to move out of tj, food would be the main issue to work on. its amazing what you can find here from carnitas, asada, cabeza and my favorite and best seller in tj birria de res. nothing like a few tacos at 9 am with lots of hot sauce and a cup of consome on the side
Kind of wack you just showed the big business taquerias that are ok but not the best. The best taquerias are the carretas on the sidewalk you want to see the best taquerias search on youtube los mejores tacos de tijuana by the newspaper El Frontera that rabking is the best ranking there is overall the taquerias in Tijuana
I’m from LA but living in Tijuana now. I remember eating king taco when I lived In LA ,wasn’t the best but that’s all we had in the 90s. Dude taconazo is not the best 😴.. taco el Franc is good but over priced now. There’s so many places that are better. To each their own.
Google it..👌👌👌 also las Humaderas its a street with about 6 taco stands. It’s also on google. The only taconazo i like is in Playas.
Fab M the last few times I've been to Taconazo in Playas the flavor has been very bland. There's a taco truck near by, Tacos Aaron, that has way better tacos. Also there are some AMAZING tacos in Plaza Rio right next to Bancomer. They have guisados- milanesa, costilla en salsa verde. Super cheap and super delish.
I use to live in L.A. and they've always had taquerias and different cultural foods back in the 70's and 80's independent taquerias small businessess family owned not talking about taco bell but tacos poblanos original in L.A. also tacos Mexico and el gallo giro in huntington park.L.A. is a place where it has hidden gems that people don't know about. Also las pupusas salvadoreñas, just so many options in L.A., Now there are alot more of taquerias and different cultural foods than ever before.I❤Cali.California and Tijuana, Baja California,México 🇲🇽
Lucas when and why did you leave that other food show i believe it was called EATER OR MUNCHIES i hadnt seen you for awhile i stumbled on the times food and there you were its good to see you back on the grid agian. how did you get on the times food chanel any how good to see you back
ooooh damn they took you to tortas wash mobile, these guys know whats up. Grew up like 4 blocks from where the original spot is, so every saturday my dad brought us tortas, now everytime i go to Tj i hit that spot like 3 times a week. What are your thought on the tortas, I feel like someone should do a whole episode about them.
Grew up in Tijuana and I'll tell you right now. Tacos El Jockey should be on top of the list. Lipodremo is ok but always had the smaller crowd anyhow. Hasnt changed one bit and nobody in LA or the rest of the world comes close.
Mariscos el Mazateño they have some really good mariscos. Tacos de pulpo enchilado.. google them. Get there early it gets packed.. and if you want some good tacos try Tacos El Nuevo Poblano en la buena vista.
A lot of these places are more new to T.J. when I lived there it was La Especial en la Revolucion, La Vuelta, el Sombrero, Boliche coronas.... I don't know now but I'm sure these places are great
El taconazo makes the worst tacos in Tj, the tacos on taqueria hipódromo are good; but one of the best places for carne asada is La glorieta un El soler neighborhood or El Ruso across the street.
Great video! I grew up in San Diego and I really only have Mexican cuisine while I'm visiting family. I can eat Mexican food 24/7 it's my favorite. The food, the culture and people are amazing and warm. As a Chef it's one reason I became one. the best way to explore another culture is to eat their cuisine. The most common and deep thread of life that ties us as species together, food. Our greatest and most fond memories stem from that. We all should share our food with one another.
Muhammad Qasim saw the spiritual ranks of Prophets in a dream in 2009. Prophet Muhammad SAW has the highest rank, followed by Prophet Ibrahim AS and then other Prophets of Allah SWT. Muhammad Qasim Dreams are blessed and warn us of events in the future.
1:40 A void in L.A.!? Where!? All of this food has been available somewhere in L.A. for as long as any us have been around. This foo probably moved to San Marino and never ventured outside it. When people make statements like that, they loose all credibility in my eyes. It would be like me saying, "I got into wedding photography because there was a void of wedding photographers in L.A." 🤣
Lucas, your outfit was super cute. It reminded me of the Beastie Boys "Ill Communication" era and the blue was a great complement to the Tacos 1986 Red!
When you get a scratch like the puppy made; clean appropriately; then use super glue. Instant fix! You may need to reapply after several hand washings.
Right around the neighborhood I grew up in. Use to go to tacos hipodromo growing up. He’s right though Taco Nazo is probably some of the best to be honest
U live L.A tacos but tj tacos is on another level even tho dome of the taqueria guys come from Mexico I think the ingredients are better in Mexico too many hormones in u.s meats and produce I guess
The way its made and the way it taste, lots of the meat in Mexico (Sonora) is Pasture raised and grass fed, with out GMO grain and Hormons cows where created to eat grass, not corn, soy and other grains
I travel all over Mexico and the best tacos are in tijuana hands down and yes I had plenty of tacos in Mexico city now to me the best carne asada tacos in the world is tacos el ruso en el soler then tacos el franc and tacos el Frances and one more thing if you want the best tacos they have to make the tortillas there and if they don't don't waste you're time
@@industrykillers7049 Your comment is laughable. You are a jealous pendejo; you wish you had his success. So get off your ass and do something with your life. Team Joey all he way!!!!
I've been to Ensenada, Rosarito, tj, and I have to be honest, Mexicali got them beat even on seafood, and Mexicali is a damn desert, but the food there is awesome
While those tacos ain't bad at all, they aren't the best in la either, at almost 4 dollars a taco , bit steep. Just go into east la you'll find better at half the price. Downtown spot is for tourist that scared to venture into east los or south la
