Dean Horler and his son, Lucas Miles Horler, are well known in Melbourne amp aficionado circles for their attention to detail, build and tone. Lucas Miles is not opposed to taking hints from its customers where mods are concerned and with that in mind, they've given me two Princeton-style builds to show you: their standard '65 Blackface model and the Souldigger - a modded version of the same. The Souldigger's roots are in the '65 but it swaps out the Weber 10F150T for a Jensen P10R, tantalum power resistors, silver solder throughout... and more. Me? I'm torn. I dig the grind of the dimed Souldigger and the glassy cleans of the BF. They're both great. And not mine! (Dammit).
