This is the second sawmill i made with a 10hp single phase electric motor and a 21.5 inch blade with 5 inserted teeth. The blade takes out 3/8 inch which is more than the other blade i had but its worth it because i can change the teeth right on the mill.The electric motor has way more torque than the gas engine on the last mill so it pulls through the 8 inch cut no problem at all. ( Also its for sale for 12,000 or obo ) 501-827-4609

Грамотно сделал! Убрать доски, опил, место есть. Ходишь не запинаешся. Стоит устойчего. Привод ременный, двигатель не сгорит. Усиление тяги шкивами. Кабеля промышленные не нужны.Практично и доступно.

To save some steps, try doing the undercut first walking backwards then the side finish cut walking forward.

Outstanding construction. The process of building the swing frame to make the hinge points in the same plane as the shaft... did you use a mill to cut the holes then, weld the pins, then shim the shaft to get it all in the same plane? Getting that all just right is the key. You do not require any retention device to hold the position of the swung blade motor assembly? Just gravity?

iwantosavemoney One advantage to a swingblade design is that it allows you to double cut. So on each row, one can get a board that is twice the maximum depth of cut of the blade. So if you have an 8" depth of cut you could get a maximum cut of 16". Of course the size of tree would need to allow that. With a two blade design, unless your blades are equal in size, you are going to be greatly limited in 1 dimension by the maximum depth of cut of the smaller blade.

How many amps does it pull at idle and deep cut?

If you could tilt the whole thing 45 degrees , it would self unload . Do the whole log then stack the lumber . But what the hell , I can see the extra walking has kept you trim

Doesnt seem like blade is level as the blade scraps wood on one side but not other. It cuts like every other sawmill does , person stands and pushes it across wood, not much to film but people do it...... Everyone seems to film running sawmill but just cant film them building it...

RU-vid is full of mills of all kinds. This one isn't particularly interesting. Now, what WOULD be interesting are the plans. Everybody wants to jump on the "I can turn a camera on and post my mill in operation to RU-vid" But ALL of them fail at providing any useful information.
