Ur videos are really helpful my friend, i show this entire series of making lucha masks to my father as in india this masks are not available and even if u order from international u have to pay hell a lots of customs and delivery charges...my father is a manual pattern master and fashion designer and i asked him to make a pair of this lucha masks as my favourite wrestler is el santo, once he will design those masks i would definitely it share that how it's made 😊
Hello, I bought your pattern from website and it hasn't been emailed to me yet. I'm so excited to make my mask, I was expecting to have to pattern right away. How long does it usually take?
Hey, I ordered the topless mask pattern from you! I’ve got a pretty good start, but I was wondering if you could show how you attach the two pieces like you did at 3:30-4:00. For some reason even if I slow your video down 100 times I can’t seem to figure it out. Any help is appreciated thanks!
Could you do a video on the topless/open mouth mask as well? Also, I'm having trouble finding vinyl/material for aplique and face designs. Any suggestions on what material to use and where to find it online
Yo Ophidian, Great video, I am glad to see a well trusted masked wrestler to teach me how to make my own mask. Btw, saw you in New Port Richey a few years ago for Brawl USA. Keep up the great work
I’m taking the leap of mask making. Problem is I’m a first time sewer. I learned hand sewing but I can’t seem to get the freaking machine process down. I could sew the base by hand but for the additional comestics I know u need a machine . I don’t know wht I should do . I looked at certain tutorials for my machine but it still seems to jam whenever I think I resolve a problem
It is also the same 4 way stretch! Sometimes it isn’t, but it is in this case. You can make masks without stretch but the structure would be slightly different.
hi, I've seen your videos and I'm trying to replicate a mask. a question. but the fabrics that make up the mask are 2 or 3? one internal and one external? lining and outer fabric? otherwise with 3 layers it is too thick! thanks and congratulations for everything! Thanks again. A Roberta fan.
A mask can be a single layer, or double with the outside and a lining! If you are in a place where you might be adding more “fashion” fabric on the outside, use a base fabric like jumbo spandex. You can get away with not lining jumbo spandex.
We well a medium head size mask base and will be selling a large very soon. However, it is up to you measure your head and adjust the pattern to your shape!
@@ClosetChampion I made one mask so far. It’s a little wonky but it was my first one. Was using supplies from around the house. Hard with covid that some stuff is out of stock. Do you happen to know where to get that hard vinyl at online?
It’s especially a little harder at the moment, but our orders are split up across many sites. Etsy will have one type, Amazon will have another, spandex world and spandex House will have different stuff.
EXCELLENT video! That pinning method is brilliant. I wish I had known that when I started! That's going to be a tip that helps a lot of people get good results. My only complaint is that you neglected to indicate to people that that method of spray-adhesiving half the mask piece with paper under them, flipping them over and doing the other half is known as "Nyxing The Fabric." I have decreed it to be so. Let all who follow honor the name of the creator of the method.
I'LL research to the internet about basic lucha mask pattern because i want to create a lucha mask like when i watch your video about creating a lucha mask i was inspired because i made my own lucha mask 2 years ago i create 5 lucha mask by my own but i failed but i never give up to create another mask to become luchador
I failed many times before being able to make a mask for myself. I started by working on cheap replicas. I do tons of these before i was confident enough to make one i could perform in.
