Legalism ruined the message of Jesus... I was raised in an incredibly legalistic Methodist church in Gulfport, Mississippi... and I am STILL trying to crawl out of that hole..., it's very deep.
Thanks for sharing. I frequented a Methodist church, socially. But once I accepted the Lord, years later, I think I put legalistic pressures on myself. I don’t know where that behavior originates, well, the devil. But I realize how easy it is to make my designed legalistic standards standards put on me by GOD!!! The Lord is trying to convince me of one fact: I AM is not like that! God Almighty, help is all, please!!!❤
Legalism is real. Still faith without works is DEAD. IF you love me, keep my commandments, said Jesus. The greatest of which is love which fulfills the law.
