Just Music. Luciano Pavarotti sings the popular Neapolitan song "Torna A Surriento" by Ernesto & G.B. De Curtis in this recording with the National Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Giancarlo Chiaramello.
I hope I learn Italian and spend some time in Italy. Same with Spain and Spanish. I think we (the south Europeans) have the most beautiful countries and lifestyle in all Europe. (Greek guy speaking)
maestro Pavarotti, like Maestro Bjorling,Lanza, and other great tenors, tugs at your heart strings.Sr.Caruso for whom this song was composed did it great too.Thank our Heavenly Father for this great music, and the wonderful tenors to sing it.God bless them all.I love them too.
I've heard a ton of versions of this song from any number of wide ranging artists, but it's still impossible for me to name a better exponent of the Neapolitan song than Luciano Pavarotti from when he was in his prime.
all tenors a different, their tones are special.Caruso,Pavarotti, and Lanza are all special.so is Domingo. But so is Jerry Vale, they are all special.a gift from God.!
FOUND IT! I have been searching for the name of this piece of music in vain for the last 2 months as it is my father's favourite piece of music and we did not know the name of it! Thank you for posting this beautiful song and thank you and rest in peace to Luciano for such a fantastic performance =]
Vide 'o mare quant'è bello Spira tantu sentimento Comme tu a chi tiene a mente Ca scetato 'o faie sunnà Guarda qua, chistu ciardino Siente, sì sti sciure arance Nu profumo accussì fino Dinto 'o core se ne va E tu dici "io parto, addio!" T'alluntane da stu core Da sta terra de l'ammore Tiene 'o core 'e nun turnà Ma nun me lassà Nun darme stu turmiento Torna a Surriento Famme campà Vide 'o mare de Surriento Che tesoro tene nfunno Chi ha girato tutto 'o munno Nun l'ha visto comm'a ccà Guarda attuorno sti serene Ca te guardano 'ncantate E te vonno tantu bene Te vulessero vasà E tu dici "io parto, addio!" T'alluntane da stu core Da sta terra de l'ammore Tiene 'o core 'e nun turnà? Ma nun me lassà Nun darme stu turmiento Torna a Surriento Famme campà
Heard this in English with my friend playing it on the piano.....they were Italian but she sang it in English.....loved it....and this brings up the memory always...
La maravilla de su voz, aunada a la variedad de tonos que nos subyugan y nos transportan hacia un mundo de sentimientos filiales, Sin duda nos hace pensar, como es el mundo del arte lo que convierte a algunos hombres en Dioses
whats the problem ? im a girl and im really good at singing this ! actually im the best at singing this at school (music school) ive got an 18/20 on the test.
Mekanin cennet olsun kardesim..
My ear is bad and my english is worst but Luciano is the best, nowadays the bell canto is singing for a lot of people and most of them are not involved in that. The popular singers has the reponsability to show and teach to others this kin of music. Probably Donald Trump has to know this music and then he will know what the latin people makes not only for the USA but even for the world.
