Oh to have been in this audience, I can only wish !! Has to be one of the most memorable live performances of all time. Thank you Ms Zarantonello for making it available on RU-vid.
I have watched this a million times and got goosebumps every time. It is beyond words. How lucky we are to be able, somewhere through the horrors life may throw at us, to experience beauty, perfection, and grace. We must keep going.
This man is the biggest gigantic ambassador for Opera United!!! He brought opera into parks and regular folks' life to enrich the world for peace and for arts... Bravo‼
If you had the money and time, you could sit in every opera house in the world, and still fail to hear anything more beautiful than this rendition! What a talent and magnificent voice is lost to us!
@@GiuliaZarantonello What a wonderful place of blessed land, from north to the very south..... how many fine places and fine arts, no need to mention the food nor the other highly celebrated things of your place. Love Italian culture, absolutely! Inhuman if one will not love Italy! Without italian operatic artists, Verdi, Puccini especially, many people would have found that life be so boring and unbearable to drag on...me included. I appreciate your quality works, and Thank you Italy for Opera & Everything 🌹🌹🌹
Italian Text of 'Una Furtiva Lagrima' Una furtiva lagrima negli occhi suoi spuntò: Quelle festose giovani invidiar sembrò. Che più cercando io vo? Che più cercando io vo? M'ama! Sì, m'ama, lo vedo. Lo vedo. Un solo instante i palpiti del suo bel cor sentir! I miei sospir, confondere per poco a' suoi sospir! I palpiti, i palpiti sentir, confondere i miei coi suoi sospir... Cielo! Si può morir! Di più non chiedo, non chiedo. Ah, cielo! Si può! Si, può morir! Di più non chiedo, non chiedo. Si può morire! Si può morir d'amor. English Translation of 'Una Furtiva Lagrima' A single secret tear from her eye did spring: as if she envied all the youths that laughingly passed her by. What more searching need I do? What more searching need I do? She loves me! Yes, she loves me, I see it. I see it. For just an instant the beating of her beautiful heart I could feel! As if my sighs were hers, and her sighs were mine! The beating, the beating of her heart I could feel, to merge my sighs with hers... Heavens! Yes, I could die! I could ask for nothing more, nothing more. Oh, heavens! Yes, I could, I could die!
More accurate lyrics: A single secret tear from her eye did spring: as if she envied all the youths that laughingly passed her by. I could ask for nothing more, nothing more. Yes, I could die! Yes, I could die of love.
Thanks! If I understand the song correctly your translation is describing the meaning better. However, in the part of heartbeats and sighs I understand him to not sing what he has experienced but what he would like to experience. Is that wrong? I havent seen the opera so I cannot connect it to the story.
jajajaja......i love pavarotti but u must hear the great Enrico Caruso....he makes another thing from heavens...flies with his voice....and this song is a perfext example... :)
He said that his favorite and most fit role is this. Not others thinking of him to be big hero or Prince Calaf... Pavarotti is true and real, great man!!!
Luciano´s greatness resides in his very heart , effortless rendidition thanks to his lung capacity but , he has truly lived that love he sings out loud ! therefore hi is far more convincing.
Villazon is even better in this role - warm, expressive, so full of emotion ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J4xyvNh9p9s.html&start_radio=1
A matchless performance; this will go straight to your heart and live there forever. You may no longer grace us with your presence, Luciano, but God and his angels cannot believe their good fortune….
