The problem is there's no such thing as "better" when it comes to art. "Better" and "worse" are objective terms. When it comes to self expression that is an extremely toxic mindset to have because what it turns into is u conforming. Evolution happens naturally, there is no reason for someone to claim "better" or "worse" with art. That doesn't exist with art if it did it wouldn't be art. When someone says or comments "Work on this" or "Do this better" what they're telling u is to conform to their own biases. And it's toxic for the person giving the criticism too because for one, why are u looking for someone else to do what u wanna hear, instead of u taking ur own advice and create something of ur own with that? You are an artist, everyone is born an artist; we are all creators. But see nobody knows what art is anymore, nobody cares. They are consumers who wanna consume what they wanna consume, they wanna stay comfortable. It's a mind prison and people don't see this... there is no "better" or "worse" only evolution.. People need to start appreciating things for what they are.
