@@MichaelStanton I think 7 is about right, I have a 12 inch which I’ve had now for about 7 months and I love, love love it. Some memory foams you sink into them, the hybrid you sleep on top of it but it’s soft it’s great and lucid is very good for the money. It’s a workman’s Casper in my opinion.
This is the best bed I ever slept in. I bought a full size for my son, I accidentally fell asleep on it, after that I bought mine. And the price is so good, it doesn’t break your pocket. I’m replacing all my mattresses.
@@rafaelgomez1989 it’s been a few months and I still love my mattress. Do not take off the cover. A mattress protector will protect it. FYI tho mattress protectors are hot.
Lucid makes a very durable bed, I have the 10 inch bamboo and aloe hybrid, not a single body impression, it still looks brand new. That said all of these lucid hybrids have very thin layers of foams so they are much firmer than they chart, so as a side sleeper it wasn't working out. I bought a serta pillow top thinking it will be much softer. Welp, the pillowtop has that crummy PU foam and a thin layer of memory so I push right through to the coils. It's great for back and even stomach, but I'm a strict side sleeper. Getting a 3" latex topper for the lucid since the lucid is actually a better mattress, wish I would have done that before I bought this expensive serta.
I just was just speaking with a lucid representative earlier today and according to this person, there is no 100 night sleep trial. It is purchased through Amazon and they only have a 30 day return policy.
I’m confused I’m reading the reviews on amazon and I’m seeing alot of 1 stars and complaints about fiberglass and odor but here in these comments people seem to like their bed and having no problems?
Amazon reviews can be a tricky rabbit hole to go down. I've seen the same concerns about fiberglass but I didn't see any problems when I was testing it.
I think as a mostly side sleeper I would like this hybrid mattress. I like the plushiness of the memory foam and the support of the poly foam and coils.
Thanks for the premier of this video! I love all the helpful info you give us to make the best decision on mattresses ! I love the firmness of the lucid because I don’t like to sink too much but enough for comfort especially since I’m a back sleeper most times. I also like the pressure test and how the weight is evenly pressured for back sleepers. Thanks for the great review. And bother great choice for my list !!
I love this lucid hybrid mattress offers isolated motion transfer and edge support. Great choice for back sleepers like my husband. Polyester cover looks so soft and comfy. I would love to try this mattress.
I love this hybrid from Lucid. Great edge support which I love. 6.5 out of 10 firmness is my fav range of firmness. I also like the foam on top for my hips and shoulders sleeping on my side. I like the low motion transfer too. I would choose this mattress!
Looks pretty good for my side sleeping self. I think the hybrid helps the mobility issue when you have a memory foam top layer which is really important.
This all sounds great but wish it was a couple notches softer because I'm more of a side sleeper. Don't really roll around too much. But I like this provides more solid support when you include the coils.
Just got one and it feels like a nightmare! I’ve never had a new bed that didn’t feel wonderful when going to bed, but this one feels like a torture chamber! I could cry!
Thank you so much for all of this great information! I just ordered on of these today, the 12 inch version. Then...I saw the reviews on amazon, discussing Fiberglass! I'm skeptical, it was 2 customers out of 4200 reviews that mentioned, ok freaked out, about finding fiberglass chard's. I tried to find some information about this but nothing. Could you address this please? Is there fiberglass in any of the materials used? Thank you!
First I do like the pocketed coils, but not a fan of memory foam unless it has the gel for cooling, even at that I sleep on my stomach a lot so afraid it would hurt my back being at a 7. The edge support is really nice though.
sounds like a pretty good mattress - as a combo sleeper this looks like a good mix for me. One concern would be heat retention as I'm kind of a warm sleeper anyway. Overall, I'd say thumbs up
Hello , - Great review, thankyou. You mention you wouldn't recommend Memory Foam period for those who sleep on their stomachs. Could you please advise what then would be best instead. Many Thanks
I really like how they came out with a Hybrid but I wish it had a more plush top, I am side sleeper only and I feel like this one might be a bit firm and jam up my shoulder a bit too much. NICE reviews. I am really liking these Premiere your doing.
I didn’t realize all this time to click that link for extra entries! Lol I always watch your videos and love all the information I get so when I save up enough I can buy one that’s perfect match for me! Or fingers crossed one month win your contest. Which ever comes first lol. Will Liked shared and going to watch this one at 7 and will leave a better review of what I like about it!💓
The Lucid probably wouldn't work for me. I'm a stomach sleeper but not sure I'm strictly stomach. I really hadn't noticed so these reviews help me to figure out what kind of sleeper I am. But knowing this traps heat, nope not good.
This is a great review of a nice looking mattress i just wish it wasnt a 7 on your firmness scale because being a side sleeper on the petite side i need a softer mattress.
What are the risks of the glass fibers on the inside cover coming loose? I heard a about the damage to all your stuff that can happen and I'm a bit concerned. Is that even true?
I'm stuck on deciding between this mattress or the LUCID 12 in Latex Hybrid. The Latex Hybrid seems to be slightly more firm and bouncy. I generally sleep on my back and occasionally end up on my side. I run hot when sleeping. Also, how would you rate having, ahem, physical activities on this bed? Any thoughts or opinions appreciated!
I’m a 140 lbs person and I’m looking for a really soft mattress but gives me support for my back and I want to kinda sink into the mattress. Will this mattress work?
When you say Lucid Hybrid are you talking about the Banboo and Charcoal or. Other. Do you have a comparison of them. I am looking at the 12 inch Hybrid only because I think the 12 will be better than 10. It's for a king couple. Thanks
I like that Lucid's ability to isolate motion transfer and their edge support. However, this may be a bit soft and warm for us. As you suggested, I am more interested in gel- or copper- infused memory foam to sleep cool. Hence, Tuft & Needle may be a better choice for us.
Hey Logan, I’m 6’3 230 with pretty nasty lower back pain. I’m a combo sleeper but majority of the time I’m on my back and side. I’ve decided on this mattress but can’t decided whether or not to get the 10 or 12 inch version. I’d like to get your input if possible.
Why arent coil type and number of coils listed anymore. Is that not important. I know the warranty is for ten years but any idea on how the mattress does over the long term? Great detailed review. I just ordered one, and I hope its for me, back sleeper and occasional side sleeper here. Thank you for this review. Is there any way I can verify what model number your reviewing since theres a couple of versions of this mattress? Thanks.
Most coils in hybrids these days are pocketed (individually wrapped) coils. I would consider 10 Years to be long term for this mattress, wouldn't want to go longer than that. This is the 10 inch version of the hybrid
Im 5'10 around 240 pounds im a combo sleeper. im interested in this mattress whats the main difference in the 12'' and 10'' and which one would you recommend?
Depends on what position you sleep in. For back sleepers, probably not necessary. Side? Sure go for the 12. The latex is better for hot sleepers and those that need more mobility. Memory foam better for pressure relief.
Is this quiet enough for adult activities? I was not concidering hybrid mattress untill i saw this reviews and was going to go with a full memory foam. Also iam a back/side sleeping
Hi. I sliced the very top polyester layer of the mattress when cutting the plastic it came in. Will that mess up the bed expansion at all? Will it mess up the bed and sleep at all, aside from the aesthetics of it?
while this mattress seems amazing I would need something plusher since I mostly sleep on my side, although I have been waking up on my back though so the firmness and pressure relief might be good for me, hmm choices are hard lol great review though thank you!
Found your channel and was curious to see how you'd review this mattress that I've had for 6+ months that is absolutley AWFUL. Was very surprised with all aspects of your review. I don't quite understand how certain people have great experience and then there's people like me. But just so everyone is aware I do sleep with another person in a King size mattress who also hates it. We both predominantly switch between our back and side while sleeping. Neither of us can ever get comfortable and wake up with severe back and neck pain. Also headaches. Not to mention the smell coming from it is horrible.
Hey Logan great review, I am 6'0" 235 and a back and side sleeper and sleep a little warm and alone. Would you recommend I purchase the 10" or 12" and Memory Foam vs Latex. I would be open to any recommendation if there is another mattress in the $600 or less range for a queen size. Thanks for your help and links if there are any deals to be found.
Sleeping on this mattress for the first time tonight. God I’m not a back sleeper but my lower back feels so relaxed while laying on my back. I posted an unboxing video check it out
This beds are horrible. In less than a year mine lost firmness on both sides. The removable cover is super sensitive to any material that it will develop lint balls on top. On top of all that their limited warranty covers nothing! They will blame consumer for not taking care of the matress or not following their specifications of what frames are suitable.
