What a compliment to Lucy and Desi. Lucy Arnaz is humbled, honest, and a kind person. And so grateful for experiences. She gives the recipe to be a happy person.
Lucille Ball got me through a difficult time in my life by watching her reruns. I emailed Lucie and told her this and thanked her. She emailed me back with some sweet words. Thank you Lucie it meant so much to me. ❤
I'm 61 when I was a little girl I wrote a note to my mom that said " I want a best friend like Lucy". I feel like she was my best friend growing up!. I watched her all the time
Lucie is so down to eatth 💞 My father in the 80 purchased a time sharing in Franconia Notch,NEW HAMPSHIRE. The place was called Mettersill. Located on the back side of Cannon Mt. Sky resort. The family stayed there as was honored to know that your family vacationed there also! Saw a few pictures of them! Just so amazing ❣️
Lucie Looks Absolutely Gorgeous with her still Youthfull looks in her 70ths Wow! and looking in the Penicle of Health too' and love how she still says it how it is and was in her Honesty when talking about her personal & past Family experiences
Hello from Canada thanks for sharing this video with Lucy Arnaz I'm 52 and only been watching Lucille ball reruns here's lucy and I watched stone pillow which I can't imagine her doing a challenging role of a homeless woman who lost everything according to the write up ciao 😊
Just keep talking 👄 about your 👩 mom she is a great person and very talented and many of us ❤️ ♥️ loved your family and your friends. Many have enjoyed your interviews.
In 1972 I was lucky to have been having lunch in the Universal Studios commissary on my 11th birthday. My Big Brother, who took me, arranged for a cake slice and candle to be brought out for me. The wait staff sang happy birthday to me along with Lucie Arnaz who was sitting in a near by booth. Thank you Lucie! You made that birthday extra special.
Lucie is no way in her 70’s! It’s not possible! I’ve loved her ever since she was in The Jazz Singer as Molly Belengocavela, that film is my all time favourite film… I could watch it five times a day and not tire of it. Also, Neil Diamond was quite hot back then too 😂 Lucie is still as gorgeous as she ever was, but with the family genes it’s not surprising! I think meeting her in person is up there on my bucket list. My husband and I have one cold Christmas and one hot one, so it’s NYC one year, and then Dom Rep the next. This year it’s the hot holiday, but if she’s gonna be on Broadway we might have to have a rethink 😂
The primary reason I have always adored Lucie Arnaz is because she has always “allowed us in” to her life and her own history. She never failed to be candid and never avoided discussing the pain. God bless this woman. Also, this was an outstanding interview.
@GeeBoggs I've always liked Lucie for pretty much the same reasons as you. She always keeps it real, but even when she speaks somewhat critically of her parents, her deep love for them still comes through. It's great to see that Lucie and Larry Luckinbill still have a warm, close relationship after all these years. God bless them!
She's real, honest, unfiltered in a civil way and doesn't trash people. We need more like her. The interview ended advising a 6 second kiss, I thought, they'll never get out the door. lol
Would love to see lucy and her brother Desi answer together and about living with their parents lucy and Desi I saw an interview with Desi and the kids and how he was such a great father I'd love to hear that from the kids If Lucy and Desi remained friends after their divorce. That to me says that they never stop loving each other when I do believe they're together in heaven ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I LOVE LUCY R.I.P. DESI AND LUCY THE WORlD MISSES YOU BOTH 4EVER (Am glad that lucy reunited with her family at the ball family plot)
Ms. Arnaz is and always has been the epitome of professionalism and love for her parents and their classic sitcom. She always speaks so eloquently and fondly of a legacy in which she had no choice but to be part of. She is an amazing performer in her own right and I appreciate how much I can see both her parents shine in her talent. I Love Lucy like the rest of the world, but I also Love Lucie for everything she has contributed to the world of entertainment. Thank you Ms. Arnaz!!
She is so great. I wish you all had talked about her great performance in "The Black Dahlia." I had read at the time that Richard Birton called her and told her wonderful she was in it.
Fantastic! I'm back for a second watch (and there will be a third). Thank you to the force of nature that is Lucie, the charming Larry, and the brilliant Craig.
I’ve seen The Boys In The Band twice pretty recently because Turner Classics shows it regularly. But I had no idea that Lawrence was in it. Very cool to know. I’ll have to keep an eye out for him next time I watch it. ❤️❤️
Lucy Arnaz danced with her mother on her show and the legend, Ginger Rogers. No other actress nor entertainer could ever say this except for maybe, Liza Minnelli.😊
I’m so in love with Lucille ball , I named my 2nd daughter middle name after her. And the more interviews I watch of lucie the more in love I am of her too 😭 what a beautiful woman ❤ I can’t meet Lucille ball on earth one day but I hope I can meet lucie one day 🤞🏾
I adored ILove Lucy…..wasn’t in school yet so grandma would give me a carrot for a snack and I would watch before lunch. Loved her all through out my years and still do.
I have heard SO many interviews with Lucy Arnaz, but I have never heard a more open and honest interview than this one. She holds nothing back and she's completely honest. Thank you. This is a treasure. A priceless interview. Thank you.
@@leighewinson9473 I read a few books on Lucy and Dezi - for, whatever reason, and one thing became clear. Despite all the parents troubles, they worked very hard to give Lucy and Desi a normal life and not let that spill over.
Lucie Arnaz is so straightforward, honest, funny and fearless! She's amazing. Thank you, Craig, for the brilliant interview. Lucie paid you the ultimate compliment at the end, and she certainly wouldn't have said anything insincere.
@sherrilaird6535 Her mom had a lot of brains, too. I heard that it was Lucy's idea to build their own studio. And she had other innovative ideas. I heard that Lucy bought the rights to the original Star Trek series. And it was her idea to syndicate it.
I always enjoy Lucie interviews. She’s one of the best to listen to and comes across as open, honest, and down-to-earth. This one may be the best I’ve seen. Thanks for this!
Lucie is an amazing person. Yes, she has always kept us informed about her life & her parents lives and seems to enjoy doing interviews. So many people retreat from the world, but Lucy really and truly keeps her mother‘ & father’s memory alive Thank you for this great interview. I also admire and like her husband, Larry and he too, was an excellent actor in his day. The two of them seem to have a beautiful marriage and a very happy for them. Thank you, Lucie For being there for your fans and your parents fans. You are part of America’s Entertainment royalty and the memories we all have from our childhood are because of you and your family.
What an interview. She is adorabl, and he is so involving and I could feel his words as he spoke. I feel like I 'm a member of their family. They are both incredible people.
I'd buy a book about you and your life and your thoughts and feelings and what youve experienced in life. The people who have helped shaped your life. We love Lucie too.
TY for this interview it resonated with me in many ways! It’s good to see Lucie grounded happy and doing good. I appreciate her take on family, her parents love & divorce. There’s lots of love… God bless Lucie & family!
A lot of people didn't like her moving the ashes back to Jamestown her Mom's hometown.I'm glad she did. But hey she reunited her mother Lucy with her father who died when Lucy was a small child. Lucie reunited her maternal grandparents with each other . I just see it as a Ball-Hunt family reunion and the headstone looks so better than that little niche and small marker. anyway Happy Birthday Lucie Arnaz-Luckinbill. I have I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, Here's Lucy and the short lived Life with Lucy all on DVD.
I missed her tonight in NYC because I had another commitment. But I have to see her perform again sometime. I remember that she was in a B'way show a while back where she injured her leg or foot, and she could not dance. She did the show and let us know that when the dance number would start, her understudy would take over. She is an amazing person, who is a total delight to listen to. Her parents, despite their turmoil while she was a small child, despite them being so busy working, did a great job with raising her. And I always love to hear how her parents stayed friends and were even able to become closer in a way once they were no longer married and there were grandchildren. I once heard Gary Morton kiddingly refer to Desi as his "X-husband-in-law." 🙂
“I Love Lucy” was a family show that we all watched together grandparent, parents , kids. So funny and entertaining! Unfortunately today all the sitcoms for some reason throw in inappropriate comments and sexual innuendos. That’s not what we want to or need to hear!!
From the time I was born, I grew up on I Love Lucy reruns. Watching them today is like putting a very soft, warm and comfy blanket around my shoulders and it makes me feel safe again. You know, that special safety that you only can feel as a child. Thank you Lucie for carrying on this wonderful tradition.
Thouroughly enjoyed this interview. I cannot wait to read Desi's book again! I so enjoyed it the first time, and welcome the addition of new material. Thank you Lucie for reissuing.
Well she has it, whatever her parents had she has. She speaks and you just want to hear everything she has to say!! I just adore her and her sweet husband! Thank you Lucie for doing this!! Hey, maybe we can get Desi Jr to do an interview one day!❤
Lucie, I was in Hollywood in '79 when you were filming a scene from The jazz singer. I think it was a parking lot next to a bank and we're standing there watching you get in and out of a car when your mailman walks by in his everyday clothes and you shout for him and you come out to the sidewalk, call him over and chat with him for a while. Well he came and stood next to us afterwards and we chatted with him and 17 year old me asked him if he could get me your autograph which he gladly did and which I still have to this day (want to see it?). So I want to thank you for that. And I think this little story also shows something about you. You were at work I believe with Neil diamond and you interrupted it to say hello to the man that brought you your mail everyday. He walked right by you. It was you that spotted him.
Absolutely loved every minute of this! I could listen to Lucie talk all day! It was great to see her looking so well and to know that her brother is doing well also. She and her husband are so dear together. Their book projects sound wonderful, looking forward to getting them. Thanks for a very special interview!
That's so awesome that Desi's book will be reissued. I wonder if there is a chance that the writing he started on a second book will be included? I love the first book so much. We haven't been to the comedy center yet but have been to Jamestown three times. The video makes me want to go a fourth time. For those who have never seen a Lucie cabaret show, go! She's fabulous!
Lucie, appears always as an open, real, unspoiled talent and still is working as hard as her parents did; like her famous parents, who still I watch almost daily, is my most favourite show, I Love Lucy that brings me into a loving safe space.
Lucie Arnaz is the absolute best keeper of her parents legacy. She is extremely well spoken and so relatable. Even though most of us did not grow up in that world, she is like our sherpa , intelligently and with kindness guiding us through her life with them 'warts and all' as she puts it.
I’m gotta say, Lucie Arnaz comes across as a down-to-earth, sincere individual. Considering she would be regarded as Hollywood royalty I still feel I could have an enjoyable conversation with her about anything. It’s a testament to her staying real, grounded and pursuing her joy of acting.
What a FANTASTIC INTERVIEW!! I could literally listen to her and her stories for an entire month!! Thank you for posting this gem - it truthfully belongs in the National Archives!
Best interview of Lucy Arnaz ever. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the interviewer. A great job all around. I've heard so many things I've hadn't heard before.
