I usually don't like competitions like this. She has a real nice voice and I hope the fame doesn't change her sweetness too much! I never heard this song before or original singer so no comparisons. She is great!
I can't believe this is 10 years ago already. Lucie's voice is delicate, strong, and under perfect control at all times. She did exactly what her voice coach told her to do. No theatrics, no freestyling. Result: she sang it better than even Leona Lewis. So why didn't Simon Cowell like it? Because he was an ass, that's why! Ten years on and we now know what a star Lucie Jones is. She's had a sustained career in showbusiness on the stage, TV, and in music. She's probably done better than most of her X Factor contemporaries. I'm guessing that is probably down to her putting in some hard work.
She's actually being doing some acting since this-she was in a couple of episodes of 'The Sarah Jane Adventures' a couple of years back-she was amazing in that too.
Thanks for that info! I am familiar with Louis, it was just that I wasn't able to understand if that was the name she had said. Louis has met a LOT of awesome singers and they've probably made him a very rich man. He knows what he's talking about. Again, thank you for the info!!! :)
can any one tell me why she didn't win the competition ?... still she singing? does she have any song? I'm from México so it's kind of dificult to find any thing about her :) and she sings amazing
Honestly, it was week one. She did hit the notes. She may not have belted them but the fact that she got them means she had the potential to. I wish these judges actually knew about singing.
Simon is correct. After a few seconds I get bored. She just doesn't have any thing unique. She does have an excellent voice, and yes I can't sing, SHE can and that is why I agree with Simon. Listen to what Simon is saying and you will see the bigger picture.
Well, hindsight is always telling. You look at the huge success she's had since her X-Factor journey. She has had major success on The West End, Broadway and most importantly she's doing exactly what she said in her first audition. She wanted to be able to act as much as singing. She's been in 4 of the most successful stage shows ever written. And in the spotlight Positions in Les Miserables, Kelly in The Prodigals, Meatloaf in the We Will Rock You World Arena Tour, Victoria in American Psycho The Musical and Molly Jensen in Ghost, The Musical. Elphaba in Wicked and Jenna in Waitress. And she took over for very good singers like Katherine McFee. And in her time since X-FACTOR she has made over 7 to 8 million dollars.
The only good thing about Simons nasty judging is that back then he actually gave constructive criticism whereas this year, he is just been praising honey g.
Course no one will equal Leona as far as Simon is concerned . he was the one that put Leona through . Bottom line , you don't have to hit the "hit " notes to be a great singer !.......... Simon is bias !
