Just a couple days ago, I asked Lucien to "wait" outside Langley's cabin while Inigo and I went in to have a chat with him. And I'd completely forgotten that what Lucien nearly always does in that spot is chop wood. The. Entire. Time. Lmao. And when Inigo and I came out, I asked Lucien to follow along, then went right away into his trade option, and he says "You had better not ask me to carry one more stick of firewood. Because I won't do it." He had been choppin' a whoppin' 140 (!!!) logs while Inigo and I were busy. Those backpacks truly are bigger on the inside, Tardis-style! 🤣
@@JosephRussell Wow! Is that really a thing? It's not just an animation when he chops? He actually collects firewood? Does he also collect ore when mining? If so I'm putting him to work. He's gonna get blisters!
@@JosephRussell Really? I’ve had Inigo chopping & mining before but never found any fruits of his labour. It’s been a while. I wonder if another mod was stopping him collecting resources when I tried before?
@@ColinBurtonPlays Maybe it's something that varies depending on your version/platform, and perhaps whether or not you're using the Unofficial Patch? In any case it's not something we as follower mod authors can turn on or off, it's just a Thing That Happens!

As someone slowly traversing my own journey into modding, I have so much respect and love for every detail you put into Lucien. Having a friend along for an adventure? Couldn't ask for anything more.💖
Gosh I hope it doesn't become an actual crime to not have covered every quest in the game, or I'd be going straight to jail :') I only have so much time to work on the mod! Got to pay the bills.

@@JosephRussell that’s what I meant haha idk why I said port. Also thinking about the possible time gap between games like they usually have. It would be cool to see a aged Lucien through out the series’s, of course slowed down aging if need be a little gift from the dragon born and herms secrets magics lol but a Lucien whose a little more experienced with stories from the other games as time goes on. Even if it’s another hundred or so years if we found a old retired scholar who would just send us on missions now and again. Maybe he also had children at some point we can travel with as well with unique Personalities if there own. Really create a ongoing story for our favorite friend.
This mod is already the best interactive follower mod available, but is there a chance you could make survival mode a bit less solely centred on the Dragonborn alone? Such as that Lucien will react on warm/cold armours for example? I'm just asking because it would be awesome to feel like we're going through it together. I already put him in warm armours every time I play with him though, just to have things make sense in my head.
So I was wondering- does Lucien eat sweet rolls if I give them to him? I mean I've tried, but he seems to have the self-restraint of a God! Love the boy to death and want to treat him right, especially with all the abuse he gets from Kaidan (everytime Lucien unintentionally attacks Kaidan via aoe spells, the two start fighting. I figure it's just an ai glitch, but it seems so in character with the 2. Thankfully I can use harmony to make them cool their heads). Add in all the times he's nearly been BBQ'd by a dragon, and I can't help but to want to give him a treat along with better gear ^^; I like to spoil Lucien, sue me lol
Having Lucien whine about his backpack while I'm on an adventure brings me more serotonine than I could have ever imagined. Thanks a lot for gifting the gaming world this precious boy, Joseph!
I'm afraid you'll really struggle to find anyone willing to make a mod for you just like that - most if not all mod authors have their own ideas! Why not check out my tutorial series, "How To Make A Follower Mod Like Lucien Flavius", and make the follower yourself?
You'll have to buy Skyrim on PC if you want to make mods, which I'm afraid is almost certainly the only way you'll get that mod made. I certainly have no desire to make mods for other people and I can't imagine many mod authors do, sorry!
