I love how their punches literally shake the camera. It gives off a feeling that they punch with such extreme force. This is smth I don’t really see in tv shows
@@aliahpersonous2893 Amenadiel got a very unique personal style after his fight with Cain which shows why he is probably considered the greatest warrior. He seems to have the greatest arsenal of techniques. But Michael getting stronger as the fight continued and laughing at Amenadiels attacks, not even backing down when BOTH brothers were fighting him and only seeming to gain confidence... Michael is tough as fuck. Its pretty cool that him and Lucifer both share the same pure efficiency fighting style while Amenadiel shows his range of technique. Show is getting better and better
@@GokuInfintysaiyan canonicaly Michael is a beast when it comes to fights, he singlehandedly clapped Lucifer's ass when lucifer turned into a mf dragon. And Michael here is quite limited due to his limping body. Though I cant say much for amenadiel, I mean He is supposed to be "the" michael.
officialy the best fight in the show. Season 5b finale felt cheaper. They were flying with the sword and all but you didn't see their incredible speed, strength and skill.
I think Lucifer has a tendency to take Maxe for granted --- but if she would just try to talk to him and explain her feelings to him rather than letting them simmer until they boil over, they could probably work things out. He does love her, but the two of them are even worse at communicating with each other than Lucifer and Chloe. And Lucifer can be pretty dense. You'd think she would know that, given that they've spent thousands of years together.
@@brianl8481 I meant that before he was mainly defending himself but then he went into attack mode. Also, in the show he is much weaker than the comics. We don't know his full potential in the show, so you can't really say whether he'd kill her in one hit or not. I doubt he was holding back when fighting the demons who took Charlie, so I'd have to disagree with you for now, based on how he performed in other fights that weren't against friends.
@@TheSiberia06 I love it when they work together, especially that episode where a young man gets killed and Lucifer just goes with him to fight that one dude in the gang
I love how amenadiel's fighting style contrasts with lucifers. Lucifer's is more light-footed, while Amenadiel takes full advantage of his superhuman strength.
I understand Maze's anger because Lucifer hid her mother from her but it wasn't Lucifer's decision it was Lilith's, she didn't want to meet Maze at all. Also, this fight proves that every other time that Lucifer fought against Maze and got hurt by her was because he was holding back, he didn't want to hurt her but this time he was so pissed off that he knocked her out two times with a single punch, but still he didn't want to kill her.
But also Maze is a LITERAL demon that was BOND to Lucifer. Being his protector and with him since the Dawn's of time. Following him away from hell(her comfort zone/home) to earth, learning to adapt, learned to make friends, started to develop feeling , learn that it's ok to have emotions and she gets so much hurt. Lucifer sees her as "Just a demon" instead of recognizing and acknowledging her as a friend, he doesn't take the time to listen, HOW the hell is she supposed to open up to him? How can he understand without taking the time to acknowledg something is wrong and to recognize her pain? ARE YOU FORGETTING AFTER THEY FOUGHT AND MAZE AND LUCIFER WENT TO DOCTER LINDA FOR THERAPY AND SHE HAD TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION ? Even then he didn't fully understand. Not to mention her fear of abandonment. She wants a soul, because she thinks she is doomed to be alone because she won't get a "soulmate", but I don't think she realizes that she already has one. I personally think she developed one, we see her cry, so much, over the hurt and the loss, we see her protect Linda because she loves her, and we see and know the endless love she has for Trixie.
@@aanyamallick7747 Sorry, but she's alone because of her own behavior. There are people around her like Chloe, Trixie, Linda etc... other than Lucifer who genuinely care about her and love her. She's just too caught up in her head to realize these things. Lucifer may be a self absorbed narcissist, but he doesn't owe her any explanation since its Lilith who made the decision not to meet her children. Lucifer simply abided her wishes and whether she gets it or not, Lucifer's relationship with Lilith is far older than with Maze. Also, it doesn't justify siding with Michael who she knows is causing harm to the people who she knows and cares about.
@@nikunjdixit1175 I agree with you except for u saying her being alone because of herself. When lucifer just came to LA what was her role? A loyal guardian bond to him who keeps him from harm's way or protects him. She saw Chloe as the danger and try protecting him. She is NOT "caught up in her own head" or however you call her because you lack the means of understanding. She was alone for so long because it was hard for her to ADAPT to a place of discomfort, to be, behave like or live amongst a different species, a different society. S3 Lucifer lied about going to heaven and She thought he was leaving her, but later found out it was apart of a plan WHICH, DIDN'T make things Any better because he was using her, so that the plan could sell. She was right when she said "NONE of you deserve me." Obviously she has people who love her, but her rlshp with Lucifer is more than any connection she made with the humans. Lucifer is the person that stuck with her in the absence of Lilith, the person that she remained by for 1000 of years, she isn't even close to her siblings. He is the ONLY one that knows her, however, he doesn't quite UNDERSTAND her. Then, when Maze thought she could have something more, that she could have someone that completes her as a person, whom she was VULNERABLE to, was ALSO using her, even LEFT her(*cough cough * Eve,incase you fuckin forgot) . Trixie understands her and finally makes her feel like earth is becoming her home. LINDA is the one who LISTENS and understands, she is also the one that Maze can be around, and not be treated as "JUST A DEMON" she matters and is not used. She goes overboard sometimes, but her actions are drived by things that happened to her. She's a demon who is developing feelings , who cries, cares and accepts that it's okay to do so. But when she's angry, especially at Luci her demon side kicks in, Fighting instead of talking. What's the point in talking when you've already done it before and the person was insensitive?
Amenadiel's fight choreography is great. As the greatest of God's warriors, his fight with Michael really lets you feel the sheer force of his power. Everything from his impactful attacks to the bass drops the accentuate to pain he's dishing out
Think what’s helps also is both charachter a have people they deeply care for, at least I think Lucifer does in which chloe has a point in why he hasn’t said that curtain something back to her.
For those that are curious why God chose to show up once their wings were out its because if things are being kept comic book accurate the angels powers mostly comes from their wings, meaning once they show their wings they are using their full power..now they were basically shaking reality with their punches when they weren't even really trying. Now for those that don't know Lucifer and Michael are basically the two strongest beings in the universe only second to God himself. Then on top of that Amenadiel is also one of the strongest angels...basically just Lucifer and Michael fighting at full power could destroy the universe, Amenadiel there is just adding to it
Amenadiel might actually be equally as strong in not stronger. I believe that since he is a original character to the show he was basically in Michel's role my reasoning for saying this is one the show has stated multiple times that Amenadiel is the first Angel even he called his self gods oldest son then we find out in season 2 he's gods favourite even going so far as cursing Cain which you think that role would go to Michael given his status in both the comic and religion My last point is in season 3 in the episode where lucifer and amenadiel were tracking down his necklace when Lucifer decided to fight him he said to Amenadiel we finally get the answer to the question of the ages who would win in a fight between you and me. Which yet again is another recon the show does since it's well known Michael is Lucifers rival who wounds him in battle and sends him crashing down to hell, but the show states it's Lucifer and Amenadiel that have a rivalry while Michael seems to use his identical appearance to give lucifer a bad name especially when his power is to bring fear to others. Especially since Michael admits he's jealous since Lucifer is know as the light bringer
@@ethanforrester1998 they are all absurdly strong but I believe in the comics Lucifer is vastly stronger than any other angel. And Amenadiel is basically the only angel that’s actually capable of somewhat stepping to him. If Lucifer went full power I think it would take at least Amenadiel and one or two other angels to stop him.
I'm not sure If Michael was taking the fight seriously, he was laughing all the time and didn't attack until Lucifer came to stop his fist, it seemed like he was about to come out on top in the fight tho.
John Dimambro Not only did Maze betray Lucifer, but Chloe as well and I really don’t understand that because Chloe treated her with respect and kindness and never even treated her badly.
Which also clearly shows that he could have done that at any point. Maze was never a match for him. He was being kind and trying to help her sort out her shit.
I like those moments when Lucifer shows Maze that she is nothing compared to him. Those two punches, awesome. Can't believe that she fell to Michaels lies so easy.
Imagine he's just so proud like a teenager! "Um...dad I know you've already seen her and you watch over her like every single day but this is my girlfriend Chloe!"
I can understand maze’s anger. But honestly can we pls stop defending her betrayals to Lucifer. I mean honestly how many times are you gonna betray the person who has done nothing but forgive you? Is Lucifer 100% in the clear. No. He’s not. But maze is really just going back and forth with these same emotions she’s had since season 1. When is she gonna have some final growth and stop betraying Lucifer just to get what she wants?
I like how they finally show that Lucifer is much stronger than Maze. Never made sense to me that they were equals because Maze doesn't seem the type to respect and serve someone weaker than her for so long and Lucifer had to be the undisputed sovereign of Hell for a reason beyond being an angel because they didn't need Charlie to make decisions for Hell to work. Just saying.
@@xboy6373 they made Michael inconsistent. First he gets beaten by Amenadiel. Then they were on par. Then he's holding off both Amenadiel and Lucifer. Then Amenadiel is holding off Michael and Maze. That fight was cool, but made 0 sense.

They really REALLY didn't have a good relationship. So to see them fight side by side like this was just awesome. This scene shows how far they have come and how much they care for another another as you can see them supporting one another multiple times.
I loved the distinctive style of the angelic martial art. Open hands, sheer force and impact. What was even better was Lucifer using it too. There was no Devil in this scene at all, even when he's furious. Here, Lucifer is all angel, as he was made.
Man, this fight is good. It's probably the best fight we've seen on the show. Maze walking through the glass, Lucifer catching Michael's punch for Amenadiel, Lucifer K.O.-ing Maze not once, but twice. You can also really feel the impact when Amenadiel slams Michael to the ground. There's just some really cool, fast-paced choreography in this scene.

I love that you can tell what they are from how they fight. Amenadiel fights in a very spiritual way, Maze fights specifically to deal as much pain as possible ( Krav Maga), Micheal uses people strengths agaisnt them, just as he uses their fears and lucifer fights in a mainly defensive way but when he attacks he hits hard.
Think this is the first time multiple angels have unleashed their full power at the same time in this series. Even the Goddess wasn't quite that dangerous in her time on the show.
Good questions, but there are potential explanations for them. Uriel? Maybe God thought he had stepped over the line. Uriel had no qualms about killing humans and miracles, which is a *big* no-no for angels. Goddess? He didn't have to intervene personally, he just made sure his sons (Lucifer and Amenadiel) sorted it out between them, which they did.
Exactly! They've gone from "You want a war?" "I'd love a war." to "I have Amenadiel's back no matter what." and "Lucifer is my brother, I don't care what you say or do."
Neither do I, and it's annoying how people always justify her when, in five seasons, she's made little effort to actually understand those around her. I still like the character, but the betrayal every other season is just played out.
Idc what anyone says its heartbreaking seeing maze be twisted by micheal, and to know all she wants is to have a soul is even worse .... but i think she already has one she just doesnt know yet

For someone to have a soul is to knowing the difference between right and wrong. Maze knows that. She hurts, she feels and expresses emotions. Now can one say that she doesn't have a soul. She does have one. She just doesn't understand that it's there. Maze just needs to search deep within.
I really hated maze this season because she's mad at Lucifer for no reason. She knows Lilith made Lucifer not tell her the truth because she used a favor. And maze knows he's a man of his word, so how can you be mad at him for that?
I find it really interesting that Lucifer is the only one we've seen so far of any of his siblings who has pure white wings. He's supposed to be the "bad" one, the rebel, the one who takes his free will to the next level, and yet all of his siblings, who are all the rule followers, his angel wings are what we'd think of with goodness and grace, white, pure, unblemished. I would love it if that got addressed. Edit: I also laughed for about five minutes straight when the light dimmed and God was the Allstate guy 😅😂🤣
Angel lore...Samiel was gods greatest creation out side of mankind...he was said to be near perfection and the most loyal...most beautiful...most everything god created...so makes a little sense to give lucifer white wings...

I expect a pissed off Lucifer honestly, because he finally seeing his dad that started it all and is the very root of his anger, frustration and overall emotion that he’s been showing since season one. But to answer your question I expect Michael to start it, and Lucifer to hold a counter argument to that but nonetheless I expect him to be as mad as well, you know...
Did anyone else notice around the same time God told Amenadiel he could leave hell Lilith died... maybe that’s why hell doesn’t need a warden. Mama demon is there to control her children so no more rebellion. I mean that’s likely were Lilith went after dying.
But amenadiel was already on earth way B4 that . N then after few days lilith died . Ofc god knew who wud be dying etc so that cud be the reason he didn't want amenadiel to stay on hell
@@sermorningstar yes r8 I double checked The episode when amenadiel returned is the same episode where at the end Maze goes n finds her mom was dead So yeah lilith died n once again became the controller fr time being
Lilith was essentially Lucifer's chosen one and she's the mother of all demons. She can't hold the throne but she can contain her children to Hell certainly
god said "Hell no longer needs a warden" not "Hell has a new warden now so you can go back to Earth" I'm assuming for purely narrative reasons that God really decided to restructure Hell so it didn't need a king anymore & we'll dive more into his motivations in 5B. If someone else was in charge or (as I've seen some people suggest) Michael was lying to Amenadiel, then Lucifer would have to go back & it'd be super lame if they used that same ending twice lol
The special effects and production in this T5 part 1 were amazing !! Plus the interpretation of Tom Ellis playing Michael and Lucifer ! Wow! What a fantastic actor for Hell sake !
leo rexha she’s had a soul for seasons now, feeling the pain of eve leaving, the anger when Chloe was kidnapped, Charlie being kidnapped by other demons. Maybe her concept of having a soul is different.
I still love how Tom can act as two different personalities. Michael looks so much more menacing than Lucifer considering he could take on both Amenadiel and Luci
I love the three different reactions the angels have to God's arrival. Michael's face is fear and dread, Amenadiel is solemn and serious, and Lucifer is all disbelief and wonder
The fact that Kevin directed this midseason finale still blows my mind, he's a legend! Maze has me tired with her same old shit, she needs to stop betraying Lucifer 😒 but that ending though.. still has me screaming each time I see it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
before this micheal wasn't serious in fight but in 2:33 he showed his real power which he can fight with both at the same time .....he said I didn't want to do it bro so let's start😏
Akhilajay Kumar I’m pretty sure it’s about the rule of angels can’t interact on Earth the lil bits of fisticuffs is fine but wings out a full strength is a nono
If you interpret the camera shaking with each blow, it's pretty apparent that the world itself is shaking from their powers. When they took their full angelic forms, that's when God had to intervene. All the other angel fights we've seen have been in human form, but now they're in their true forms: Lucifer, Michael and Amenadiel, arguably the most dangerous angels to put in a fight together. God shuts their fight down because they're endangering his creation directly.
One of my favourite things about this fight, is you almost feel the impact of the big hits, the way that the camera shakes with specific purpose rather than just randomly sells it.
To be honest they killed her character for me, she kissed her friend's boyfriend and was willing to sleep with him, betrayed lucifer time and time again. She was good in the first few seasons but now its just old and annoying.
What i really loved about this fight was how Lucifer didn't wanted to hurt Maze hence he was blocking her attack and hit her only so she stays down since he stills consider her a friend but once he saw how she was ready to help kill an innocent he was done and used his strength.
I get Maze is mad at Lucifer (with good reason). But actually try to kill him and then help Michael almost kill a human, is way too far me. It feels like her plot just goes in circles every season, with almost no character development.
Not only that but she also doesn't give a damn about hurting Chloe, Trixie or Linda either. And they are supposed to be the people she really cares about.
True. But also she has no right to be mad, she knows Lucifer for thousends of years now and she knows that he ALWAYS keeps his word. So she should know that when he gave Lilith his word he won't brake it. And also it was not his decision, it was Lilith's.
I just love the way lucifer says dad. We hear him talk shit for all these years but what I hear there is primarily obviously someone who's surprised to see this man in front of them but I also hear a son who's actually happy to see his father after so long away from him. Maybe we'll see lucifer allowed back up into the silver city and then reunite with his other siblings. Season 5 was written as the ending of the show so I'm expecting something like that. Expecting a lot of good god and lucifer scenes. Chloe Linda and now even Dan are probably gonna die when they realise that God is standing in front of them.
Say what you want about Amenadiel, the guy has never lost a fight, just against Uriel, but he didnt have powers, the guy does deserve the title of greatest champion
Though Maze's journey throughout the story could be seen as fickle and sometimes annoying I believe she is actually going through one of if not the hardest lessons in the entire series. Abandonment issues, people using her as a pawn, not knowing her identity, and most importantly not having a stable sense of morality and mortality because she is a demon and the burdens of said life.
