That’s true Luci and Michael are the most qualified Michael cause he was God’s right hand and basically ruled heaven with him and knows how to rule over a kingdom but the way he goes about doing it is why he’s all kinds of wrong for the job and Lucifer from ruling Hell that and is time on Earth he’s become a good person empathetic, kind, actually realizes by himself when he’s not listening, and even pointed out the problems of others by himself. And Amenadiel is qualified too for obvious reasons he’s like a miniature God, but of course he doesn’t want it so the obvious choice is Lucifer because he learns from his mistakes and keeps trying to find a solution to his problems. Which is exactly why I’m glad the other angels kept quiet-even they knew Lucifer was by far the most qualified one among them

Plus God has been working a lot on fixing his relationship with Lucifer. Especially after realizing that he had failed so much that Lucifer believed God didn't love him. God has been trying hard, and now that he has come to somewhat positive ground with his son, he most definitely plans on spending as much time with him as possible. God doesn't care much about Michael at that point because he has seen how much he hurt Lucifer. He also knows that Michael targeted Amenadiel by using Charlie as a pawn. Plus God already has a good relationship with him. He has therefore no reason yo try and mend his relationship with him. However he has every reason to punish Michael, and to banish him from Earth.

@@RinJackson Lucifer murdered Uriel, although you could perhaps say that was in defense of Chloe and him mom. Perhaps "killer" would be a more appropriate accusation, but it's likely his siblings would call it murder. Michael murdered Remiel for colluding with Lucifer.
