I think it speaks volumes for the growth of their relationship from Season 1 that Amenadiel passed on the job he'd been groomed for since before time began bc he recognized Lucifer to be the one more worthy of the position. He started the series a self righteous, power hungry dick, and ended it having learned to be self reflective, and willing to sacrifice his own happiness for the greater good. I honestly believe that him becoming a father both helped him realize Dad's flaws as a parent(and that Lucifer was right about their Father not being perfect), and made him realize both the beauty of humanity(both in Linda, and in little Charlie), and why mortality makes them live with such passion..bc their lives are so short, they are forced to appreciate what they have, bc they're not guaranteed 5 seconds from now(as Eve noted).....his willingness to sacrifice his own mortality just to save Charlie from ever having to experience it, proved to me that in the few short months Charlie had been on Earth, he'd already become a far, far greater father to his own son than their Dad had ever been to them. My mom had to sit deathwatch while my younger brother died of a sudden illness when he was 28, and I know she prayed the same prayer of self sacrifice over him that Amenadiel did over Charlie...*any* true parent would pray the same prayer.

Thank you for the beautiful comment. I truly love how much Lucifer and Amenadiel's relationship has grown. Amenadiel has become one of the wisest characters on the show. I loved his speeches in season 5, especially the one to Chloe about how real her relationship with Lucifer is. I am planning to make a Douchifer video soon lol... haven't explored that relationship yet and possibly a Lucifer/Linda vid. I think I've made nearly 100 Lucifer videos now... whew... anyway thanks again! :)

My absolute fav line so far on this show belongs to Amenadiel in season 5 when he tells Chloe that she is the only one that sees Lucifer for who he truly is, & that that is the gift from God & not that she herself is any gift. Such beautiful words from such a great character. As for your future projects, I am game! Doucifer would be hilarious & there is just one good Linda/Lucifer vid out there & that deserves more & certainly your take.
