Lucifer is such a weird show... 

The actor playing Lucifer kills it. He his the right kind of charisma for the role.

I'm sorry I have to correct you there. Lucifer's "superpower" isn't to make people do whatever he wants them to do. That's why he gets so pissed off at the phrase, "The Devil made me do it." His "superpower" is to draw out people's desires. Edit: Looking at the other comments I realised that I'm not the only one who has mentioned this.

Well, one reason he flat out admits who he is is because the Devil doesn't lie. He might try and say half-truths but he makes it very clear early on he doesn't lie.

I love this show so much, I'm so glad it got to have a real ending! It made me cry it was so beautiful!!! I was actually surprised when I realized Linda was going to be a recurring character, I think she's my favorite of the non main characters, except maybe Ella. Ella is wonderful.

"Lucifer" is just an amazingly entertaining show. It's very funny at times, but can also be very emotional and touching. Incredible range in what it covers, not to mention the music is terrific. Tom Ellis is incredible as Lucifer, charming and engaging. All the acting is great and the writing as well. I was hooked at the first episode, but the show has run for six seasons. So you really can't judge it by the pilot alone.

The character development and acting in this show is so good, I wish I could forgot it just to watch it the show again

This series is a little slow in the beginning, but it builds up really fast, and the pay off is worth it. They ended it on a roller coaster though and I am so happy that Netflix is bringing it back. I need to know what happens with that ending. I won't spoil it, but it is worth watching the whole series... trust me.

I adore this show. The acting is good. There are actual personalities. Lauren is amazing and the chemistry with Tom is spot on!

To anyone who sees this review and thinks, “Eh this show looks sort of interesting, but I’ll pass.”: give it a fighting chance. The pilot doesn’t do it justice. This show gets really good-I’d stopped watching it for a bit during Season 1 and I’m SO glad I gave it a second chance. I’d argue there’s something in it for almost anyone. You like dark comedies, crime thrillers, dramas, supernatural shows, OR just shows with good character development, acting, and chemistry? Lucifer checks all those boxes. And yes the handsome devil can get a bit annoying sometimes, but that’s part of his charm.

The one thing I love about the show is how the visuals change over time. Like season one was all dark and gritty yet as the season went on and Lucifer started to really embrace his emotions (if that makes sense) the scenes became more saturated and vibrant

Lucifer doesn't control or manipulate people, that's his whole thing - choice. He just draws out peoples desires and makes them feel free to divulge them. He felt like he never had a choice when Dad sent him to be the Warden of Hell so he absolutely supports free will. Love the video, love Lucifer :)

Everyone has written everything in praise of Lucifer. Now all I have left to say is that from now on don't judge any show just by watching one episode.

i was genuinely scared because of this vid… my fav serie, then i read the comments and relaxed (i watched the vid, you should watch the entire series, season 5 is BOMB)

Towards the end of watching season 3, back in early 2019, i was trying to understand what's the point of the entire show coz it starts to become more like solve a crime a day. I took a 1.5 year break from the show and continued from season 4. Looking back, I appreciate this show far better than I ever did. Its probably just me but it is an elaborate satire and also overly quirky journey of a man who navigates through the world for ages trying to figure himself, his purpose, trying to fit in or to rebel, desperately (in a way) trying to figure out why it is that he has such an image... its a really good insight on how the devil thinks vs why he should be feared. The character construct, casting and chemistry is top notch, extremely relatable and oh so guy-next-doory. If the story seems absurd, you'd still be hooked and coming back coz its equally as entertaining. And not to mention the level of therapy Dr.Martin's character provides is mind blowing. On a very human analogy, its reflective of significance of good therapy in one's life. Okay bye😄😅

Gotta love how Amenadiel treats demons invading earth as an imminate threat, but nothing happens with it until season 4 when they learn he isn't coming back.

If you wanna try to watch it. Here's my review. Season 1 : brilliant. I had watch it few times. Funny, full sarcasm, the Devil I love. Season 2 : great. Story was build so good. Still funny, more emotion, the Devil I like. Season 3 : good... but weird. Some episodes not really needed for story, the Devil looks different than S1. And looks like that what make the rating is down. But the final was epic as fck. (edited) Season 4 : SO FREAKING AMAZING. It is so satisfying. Every character, every moment, every dialogue, just right on their place. And I'm so grateful Netflix took the show, they've done a great work. Definitely the true Devil that deserve to be loved.

Actually had the actors for Lucifer show up at our college's film festival. They all seemed like total sweethearts, especially since we were only supposed to get the producers and they took time out their schedules to fly in.

The series is actually very well written.. It highlights the evil desires in humans and the questions our beliefs about the devil. That said it should be taken lightly but it’s intriguing. And the Adam and Eve concept in 4th season is just amazing. I hope there is a season 5.

I love this show. Found it on TV at my grandma's and have rewatched it way too many times. It's a detective show/romcom but it's clever unlike basically all the other romcoms and it still holds up as a serious detective show

I do love how they get straight to the point about how he is The Devil, instead of leaving the most obvious hints ever for the audience. Like in Buffy, when she fought a sexual robot and the 10 seconds Scooby Gang reunion was like... "Yep, she is a robot. Ok, let's go to find her".

I love the irony that despite the fact he TELLS the truth - unless he reveals his devil persona - nobody really takes him seriously. There are hints, though; from his superhuman levels of strength to his immortality/durability - other than that, he's pretty much Joe-Normal until you really piss him off.
