Lucifer's Friend - Free Baby 

Freshman year at Northern Illinois University. Damn, my room mate hated this album... but he heard it at least 100 times ;~)

One of the greatest finds i've ever come across. I'm under their spell now.

Stellar bass playing, great guitar riffs. A very undersung band.

@DystoMysto Except this is from before the Scorpions even released an album. Scorpions released their first album in 1972 and Lucifer's Friend in 1970.

No way these guys were better musicians than Deep Purple. That's just ridiculous. But it's great stuff all the same.

deep purple was lazy by mid 70s, to loose on stage, Richie blackmore's tone sucked,, Hentdrix's tone blew blackmores away, deep purple bothers me, seriously blackmore never played the first solo on 'child in time' live stupid mistake! he' was too worried about loosing the backbone rhythm stand up front blasting into heavens,, john lord covered the rhythm just fine, what else does Ritchie rich need,, serious attitude check
