Have you noticed that Trixi takes everyone as they are? Trixi is the only one who believes Lucifer when he said he is the devil (pilot episode in the school,her first scene) and Mace is a demon. She has no prejudices and her thoughts have not yet been poisoned by society. She sees that Lucifer and Mace treat her good, and that's enough for her. That's why she's not afraid when Mace shows her her true face. And yes, Trixi is not stupid, she knows that this is not make-up or mask. It happened too quickly for that.

1:19 I've always loved this scene, but your insight that the moving camera angles put the viewer in the same frame of mind as the spiraling Lucifer is excellent. 2:26 Hanging Halloween decorations, Chloe is sooo beautiful! 18:52 Chloe : "You have a therapist. Talk to her, before it eats you alive". That line just wrecks me.

2x06 is my favorite episode of the show. The scene where Lucifer is revealing his devil face to dr. Linda is pure gold.The music, the lighting, the acting, everything fits perfect.

Another episode where the beginning hints at the end......Linda told him her door was always open to him at Lux and Lucifer left the door open when he left her office. Also the difference between the reaction Maze got to her true face to the reaction Lucifer got......heartbreaking!

I was about to comment something similar. I don't think I caught the parallel on the original watch, but yeah, the difference between Maze and Lucifer's reveals are polar opposite.

The song that Lucifer was playing on the piano was the Unforgiven by Metallica. It's one of my favorite moments of the entire series! You can feel all the pain and guilt that Lucifer is feeling.

Definitely a top tier episode (interestingly enough only second - this season - to the one you just watched on Patreon)…. I’m glad you got the “it’s not your fault” line - not all reactors understand the parallel there. And of course the big reveal. Someone on the show knows now, and it’s a GAME CHANGER. Linda’s reaction is fantastic and I (like many others) appreciated Lucifer leaving the door open when earlier he told her “feel free to shut it”. Great callback.

This episode is hands down my favorite episode of the entire series. Chloe's, "You look like a homeless magician," was so perfectly delivered. The relief on Maze's face when she let her guard down for Trixie and was met with total acceptance was so good. Gonna have to put a pin in that comment about the effect Maze's relationship with Trixie is having on her. And then there's Linda having her entire world turned upside down.

Imagine all the things that were going through Linda's head. At the beginning of the season she befriended Maze, two episodes ago, Maze said she was forged in the bowels of hell to torture the guilty for all eternity. Linda went from having interesting patients, to the most dangerous friends in the universe. She had sex with the ruler of hell!!! Since she didn't start screaming, she didn't jump out the window, I'd say all things considered, she took it very well.

"President of Mars" was a call-back to the first time Maze and Trixie met. It was one of the answers Trixie gave when Maze asked "what do _you_ want to be?" ☺ Also, not a big deal, but I want to mention that Lucifer's "true face" is the one we normally see. His devil face is one of his powers. It's not important now, but it does come up later. Maze, on the other hand, did show her true face to Trixie. But Maze is a demon; Lucifer is an angel! And angels are beautiful!

In S1, you titled one video, "That scene though," and I had to check if you had already gotten to this point. One of the best scenes in all of television. Rachael Harris is a treasure, and the cinematography was also top notch.

It's different each time Lucifer shows his Devil Face to someone. It may depend on his mood, anger, their guilt, fear, or whatever... Linda was petrified with fear and horror, her rational brain just shutdown... I think you have forgotten the part where Linda has had sex with the Devil. That's gotta hit like a ton of bricks when you finally believe him.

Not only that, but recall that she started to see him in exchange for sex! She is also realizing that she was having sex with the devil! Now she has to think about whether that makes her evil -- literally being in bed with the devil -- and it is bringing up other questions as well. Great reactions and commentary!
