It seems like they had more than one ending and in the editing room they asked themselves, "which one would make the audience cry more? That's the one we are going for!"
I loved that Chloe and Lucifer got to be together in the end. But i hate that we couldnt explore Rory after she learned the truth. I also hated that trixie wasnt in this season very much. I mean i get it, the majority of the show is based on lucifer and chloes relationship. But with everything else that happened in this season there was a lot more to explore. And personally i feel like they all should have told ella much sooner. No wonder she felt betrayed. There was all these huge secrets that she wasnt in on even though she was part of the team and a part of their world.
They wanted to do more about Trixie but due to Covid and her having prior engagement with other projects, it was the best they could make out of her without compromising her personal health and other projects. They wanted to cast an older trixie tho but they couldn't find one in time so that's what they end up with. I agree with Rory not being fully fleshed out tho but they have so many arcs and storylines to wrap up 10 ep is simply not enough.
If u think about it, Lucifer never lied or hid that he was the Devil to Ella. He always said he was and Ella kept on thinking he was a method actor. If I were Ella I wouldn't believe Lucifer either but technically, Lucifer never hid he was the devil.

I mean, I'd watch a spin-off of Chloe cleaning up the LAPD with the help of Ella, Carol, Amenadiel, Maze and Eve. And Ildy has hinted that Lucifer may have popped up from time to time to spend time with some of the adults. So a rare Tom cameo would not be out of the question. And with Amenadiel around, we might get some minor heaven and hell hopping.
@@susanzenonian5085 I agree, but then it will look more like a S7 (and more) than a spin-off. But I can imagine some flashbacks to see those scenes. The good thing to include some plot holes is we can use our imagination to make our own versions and the showrunners can explain us those plot holes in the movie or the spin-off. They love to read our opinions and stories, so I suppose they are reading some of them to make a good script.
I’m actually fine with them leaving the show as is. I find that greed with media can spoil a franchise. I think the show ended fantastically so I’d personally rather it be left alone.
Somebody had a brilliant idea they should have used. Trixie walks in on Lucifer doing the devil face for baby Charlie and just says "Hey, Lucifer" like it's no big thing. He was always honest with her, so it's no surprise to her. I wish they had done that one.
I was honestly really surprised that she never found out (at least not that was shown to the audience ), throughout the show it was something I was hoping for
I'm pretty sure Trixie just accepted that he was who he said he was. I mean, she drew him as the traditional devil with horns and red eyes. Kids are more observant than many give them credit for.
I just finished the show and I'm... really sad and angry at the same time. They deserved better. Lucifer deserved to see his daughter grow up. Chloe shouldn't have had to raise 2 kids by herself. At the end they got together but after tolerating so much pain and suffering. If Lucifer was there for Rory, she would never feel empty inside and travel back in time and lucifer never had to "save" her.
I believe that Luci came and visited Chloe often and helped! He made that commitment to Rory and kept it, but he would never have let Chloe do that alone. He got to experience Rory because he did come! I even think he probably watched her while she slept. When Chloe knocked on that door, they didn’t look like people who’d spent decades apart. He visited her!

@@maryjc1805 I’ve seriously watched each episode of the entire series at least 50 times. I know in my heart that the writers KNEW the audience were so invested in this love story, that they didn’t need to add that part. He provided for her financially, he helped her through all the difficult parenting decisions, and he watched her grow up because he loved her so much. He kept his commitment to her the way he promised, but there’s no way he abandoned Chloe to do it all herself. I’m with you though, I do hope that they do a movie with all the characters. And maybe a few lines that clears that up. However I’m in the camp that doesn’t want a spin-off. Only because this cast, these writers….. they were magic in a bottle. And I think a spin-off may cheapen their sparkle. I loved each and every character, and I want to remember them together and the way I’ve always and will always love them! Just my 2 cents
Okay but the ending haunts me. It's so perfect but still so imperfect. Like, it gives me such peace that they got to be together in the end, but it hurts so much that Chloe had to live alone, raising their kids all her life. And Luci couldn't be part of it, he wanted a family so badly. It just hurts okay 😭😭😭
Chloe has the biggest support team ever. She was never alone. Also, hello, Gabrielle is still around, and nosey, and willing to deliver all messages. ;)

For all those wondering why Trixie wasn't in S6 as much, or in the ending like she should have been, at the time of S5a/b's filming, they didn't know there would be a S6, so the actress playing Trixie, had moved on to be cast in other roles. And when S6 was announced, and filming, Scarlett was already filming another show/movie, so there was scheduling conflict, and the showrunners did the best they could to work around that.
@@jamilly8920 they tried casting an older Trixie but it was too short of notice. The theory is that Trixie was in space as an astrophysicist by this point.
@@jamilly8920 Actually, they tried a scene with a grown-up Trixie and Charlie in the room but after trying it they decided the time jump would have been so much that Trixie and Charlie would have been unrecognizable and would have confused viewers. Not saying it couldn't have been done, but I believe this was the reasoning.
Ella was originally supposed to find out that Charlie had wings when she was babysitting him but then they changed it to his birthday with his mother and father and Ella at Maze’s wedding reception.
I liked the ending but it was so sad as well. It killed me they went through all of that just to be separated again for so long. And it kinda bugged me how they tried to make it nonchalant reunion as if they hadn’t just gone so many years without seeing each other 😩. I guess it is consolation that they end up spending eternity but I’m still punching the air about the rest lol
You can't tell me that THE original rebel didn't sneak up to the mortal plane when the kids weren't home to see his lady and have adult conversations about their kids and life situations? I fully expect Chloe to keep Gabrielle busy sending messages back and forth. :)

I guess being essentially a vice God and a supreme ruler of his domain, he could just will everyone from his office but he also wouldn't need "Therapy in session" light in this case. These last few seconds of the episode just added awkwardness.
Lucifer went to redeem humanity for a few million years, Chloe is blessed with an unusual long life due to her "special purpose" and mojo stealing powers (prob 150-200 years). Rory is older than she looks, and Trixie already died of old age, that's why she's not there for Chloe's passing.
Rory was somewhere in her 40s to 50s, she just looks younger cause she's an angel. I'm sure Trixie was dead by then, she wouldn't just miss her mom dying unless she was too, so yeah I'd say Chloe lived a long life, not as long as 200 but I'm sure she lived to see her hundreds
@@florentinenice9146 I'm sure they know that the actors were marking the run through, but it's the concept of Chloe just coming in and joining the therapy session like as if it was just another day although we know it's been thousands of years in Hell already since they've last seen each other. So the reunion should be a little more emotional rather than, "Oh hey Chloe long time no see. Come sit down and join this therapy session I'm giving."
How ironic is that a show that emphasized on free will and making one's own fate and all that bs, just to force a character into leaving his daughter for the sake of a time loop lmao
I thought forcing Lucifer to give up life on Earth with Chloe, when it took so long for them to get together, and then forcing him also to give up the joy of raising his daughter with Chloe, kind of a sad end for the character. Yes, he and Chloe were together in the end. But he lost so much.
I know some don’t like the music as it’s drowning out what the actors are saying (I agree), but I actually really like the song. I’m a fan of My Chemical Romance and of course recognised Welcome to the Black Parade when it played at the very end of the show, but for me it just didn’t fit, maybe the lyrics did, but the sound, not so much. Yet this cover (titled Welcome to Black Parade) by Faith Majidi (it’s on Spotify) feels more in keeping with the the sound of the show, so I’m adding it to my Lucifer playlist instead.
What if the reunion would be with Lucifer, Chloe and Rory down there ? A family again. 🥺💕 Considering the last episode title, it was heartwarming to see them for the very last time together.
This moment was not only a longer version of the ending, but also proof that they reunited in secret, and even just after Rory went to the Past. I am sure they met in secret of course, but this would have been a hint. But the showrunners decided showed us an ambiguous flashforward and an ambiguous ending.
I would have liked it if when rory went back to the future Lucifer would have walked in to be with chloe when she died. Then cut to them in hell doing their counseling thing.
I wish that the final scene had been Lucifer joining Rory and Chloe the second Rory returned and the three of them traveling to heaven together, making the rounds of everyone they know and have passed, and finally going to hell to be a family.
the one who actually suffered was Lucifer, he deserved a family and getting to spend time with others. He could have done the same as Amenadiel did, but Rory had to ruin that for Lucifer.. she was so scared things would be different and Lucifer and Chloe sacrificed for her selfish request. I hope Lucifer goes back and meets other people and not keep himself locked up in hell for eternity.
seems like the rehearsal of an alternative ending. They are rehearsing Chloe to actually walk in and work with the patients rather than just kiss and end the scene like it was originally done so. I gotta say, I prefer how they ended it but it would have been nice to see an after credit scene of them chilling and working together again.
Copy paste of the Supernatural finale...take away the characters chance to live the happy life they EARNED, but give the fans a consolation prize of reuniting them in the afterlife. Cop out ending with a HORRIFIC oversight of Trixie not being there as her mother died...such a disservice to her character.
According to the producers, a scene was originally shot with the entire main cast at Chloe's bedside but, older actors had to be cast for Trixie and Charlie respectively, and they said they didn't want to "confuse" the audience.
I’m pissed it’s over. But equally pissed that they don’t have Trixie with her mom at the end of her moms life, they don’t even say what happens to Rorys older sister. And even MORE pissed that He can’t go back and forth for his kids lives but Ammendiel can? Come on. I would have been more willing to accept season 5 ending than the crap season 6 ending. With the exception of Lucifer and Rorys Bridge over troubled water duet.
S5 ending was more crappy tho. It was action-packed and totally looked cool but that's just it. Too many unresolve stuff. Dan was in hell and never get to reunite with Charoltte. Lucifer and Chloe's last scene was her handing the blade to him. Linda was set to the side. Trixie was just sad her father died. At least in s6 we saw that. And the devil becomes god??? Lucifer had no business becoming god. S6 ending may not be the best but definitely better than what we got in s5.
I know, with Chloe's death, and being reunited with Lucifer in Hell, the series ended. But just a few more minutes áfter they were reunited. I'm just curious 'bout how they started a life in hell. For an example: is Lucifer playing Hell's own therapist for ever and ever, or has he a 'fake' appartment (above Lux) in hell?
I just dont understand why it had to end like that at all. They could've done all of it. Khloe a cop, lucifer the hell therapist and rory the daughter with a father. Let's not talk about trixie I understand she had another job but the times she did have available they could've told her the truth. I wanted to hear her say she knew the whole time because maze told her and the fact that shes overly observant.
Should have done a few more episodes. With Lucifer visiting until Rory is born. That is an episode we deserved to see not to mention Lucifer!. Rory doesn't see him growing up, but he gets that much of her with Chloe. He also keeps his promise to her and does not see her after the birth. He always kept his promises. Lucifer and Chloe deserved that much time together. We see him doing his therapy a couple of times and their reunion is much much more romantic than that sappy l thought you could use a partner. I hated seeing Those two on the therapy couch like it was a big joke. Le'mac or whatever his name was, was a stupid choice to be there at their reunion. I also think there should have been baby progression photos of Rory in his office. Amenadiel could have brought them to him. That ending was just too cruel to Lucifer.
I didn't like season 6. They forced Rory in our face and I get it, but Trixie was MIA. I know, she had other commitments. They could have ended it and left it 5B. Season 6 was unnecessary to me.
I wasn't as upset with it as I was initially, but it was still pretty lousy. I don't care so much about the Lucy going back to hell thing. But they really do fuck over Chloe Decker big time in this show when you think about it, and if there's one person to really root for in the show it's her. It's also fet forced, unimaginative, and clear they didn't really have any reason to make this season. However, it may have been a blessing in disguise, instead of being terrible it was just mediocre and forgettable af. As a result easier to move on with life with. Often releases I despite challenge me to rethink my original opinion, often cause it really did something I didn't like or expect, or it's different. This was just mediocre and bland. Honestly, it retroactively helped em realize while seasons 1-2 and fantastic, the rest of the show is very mediocre in general. Season 3 has great moments, but is too love triangaded and drags on for too long, the way Chloe simply falls for Cane is contradictory to her character's strength, and felt lazy. Season 4 was predictable and forgettable, (and if anything season 6 just felt like a season 4 B-side, prophecy lucy going back etc.). Season 5-B certainly had moments, but the final episode felt rushed and teased with too much drama in between. Perhaps this season should have been longer, and spent more time with the god and luci angle, and more time with the "war". When Amenadiel mentions a war being fought in 6, it felt more like a cosmic fart... But what show doesn't get worse after the first two seasons, and finds itself being a parody of itself after 5 seasons?
Well I feel it's best the Lucifer movie ended with season 6 and the ending appeared to be nay complete for the individual cast crew (of course other than Trixie who was left in suspense for whatever reason). Should there be a continuity in directing further then most probably there might not be an appropriate ending for this movie and may also create unwanted complexity especially when the. movie was really a good one from season 1 onwards. The movie Lucifer should now go down into memory lane to all those who felt very overwhelmed. Of course the climax for season 6 could have been directed in numerous ways so the directors concern took the priority of just directing what was deemed fit. So be it ☺️.
@chris carr no, the directors were going to put trixie and charlie and other people around chloe apart from rori, but they said it was better to have the others in another room, so that people are not guessing who is who, and the main emotion that I was talking to rori is not lost and so it is more exciting.
Only thing that makes me sad about this is the fact that the actor who played Lucifer doesn't know how to wear a mask properly I mean I know he's standing right next to the majority of these people a lot of times during the actual shooting of the scenes without mask on although if you're wearing the mask where it properly meaning over your nose
Can someone explain to me why Lucifer had to go away to hell. Like why did he have to not be there in order to help ppl in hell, why couldn’t he have visited or something…
to create more drama obviously. The official reason is different of course and rather constructed. If he had stayed on earth, Rory wouldn't have grown up angry and wouldn't have time traveled, and Lucifer wouldn't have found his "thing". Presumably. Only if it's really a closed loop, though, and there wasn't all that much evidence for that. Timelines could have split, the future might have been altered when she got (gets?) back, but those options wouldn't really be any worse than Lucifer sacrificing being with his friends while they are still on earth. And even if Rory had never traveled back in time as a result of Lucifer not promising he would stay away and therefore altering the present - who's to say that Lucifer would never figure out that shrinking poor hell dwelling souls is what he's meant to do?
An while I'm at it: They presume she can only self actualize being able to time travel because she's angry ... that's bullshit, too. If they told her that she time traveled to the past before her birth I'm sure they could have been believable enough for her to believe she can do it - and apparently that's all it takes for an angel. Another detail I didn't like: She claims she looks younger than she is: She looks about 20, I'd say. If she's maybe ten years older why would she be so freaking immature? She comes across as a whiney teenager. I really did not like her character.
@@miralyse.3846 He actually could have figured it out multiple times over the course of the series and it didn’t have to be Rory’s anger that caused it. He literally should have figured it out as soon as Mr. Set Out Bitch made it to Heaven because of Lucifer’s therapy in season 5. He also could have figured it out when he realized he helped the little boy during the cartoon episode in season 6. And you can go back even further to season 3 and look at how Luci helped Charlotte Richards when she returned to her body; she become a better person with his help and went from Hell to Heaven. So there was no actual reason he couldn’t have been in his daughter’s life as well as the rest of his family’s lives… other than the drama of it all. I’m not sad by the ending, just really irritated.

Willingly. She goes to heaven, Amenadiel says "Ready to go home?" She nods and she's at Lucifer's door. He is her home. And I'm pretty sure they can visit heaven any time they want.
Chloe gets fucked over from like season 3 on if you really think about it... Season 6 just makes it apparent. And honestly goes through the most adaptations, and in-script growth spurts and challenges, and without being a fan boy Lauren German does well at times. As flawed as this season 6 is some of the scenes make you appreciate how overlooked it is in the previous seasons. Season 1: Single Mom going through a divorce Season 2: Almost dies.... Season 3: Gets divorced, finds out her other love is the Devi Season 4: Deals with her shit (and in her defense unlike Linda she has been through far more already- Linda winds up getting pretty flat in this show...) Season 5: Dan Dies, She gets, gets ripped out of heaven. Season 6: A bunch of bull shit.... and the character that probably held their composure the most (more than Amenadiel if you really think about it...), goes through the most story arcs, and deals with the whole celestial awakening, looses Dan, Lucifer, Rori, goes back to the LAPD and dies alone.... WTF???!!
Probably an unpopular opinion but I HATE the final episode, to the point I couldn’t even watch it completely the first time, I already knew how it was going to play out and it did and it was awful, the only ones that got a “good ending” were Maze and Eve, probably Linda and Amenadiel, but that’s it and it was awful. In my mind, Lucifer ran hell as a job and every other day he’ll come back to earth to take care of his family, Chloe never quit and Trixie got a stepfather and a little sister, Rory never went back in time, all was good the fucking end

i get the intent but its looks redicules with the masks on,i get they would do it without the masks but why reherse with the masks if you do it without them eventualy,there no logic in it.
That’s how all productions have been doing it. Everyone has masks on till right before they call for camera to start rolling. I don’t work on set, but I think it’s because there’s are more people around the set at this time and then when they start rolling everybody who is not absolutely needed for shooting is moved away.
@@hydeparkacademy7107 yes, only the actores take off the masks, and when the scene si done they put the masks back on, even if they are fully vaccinated they have to be very carefull because somebody may carry the virus, You know how the virus works rigth????
They staight up copied Titanic with the whole Chloe growing old by herself and meeting in the afterlife and straight up copied Flash on the whole time travelling daughter with abandonment issues

Disappointed that Tom doesn’t know how to wear his mask properly. After all this time, you’d think people would actually know (a) to cover their nose AND mouth, and (b) they look ridiculous wearing it under their nose or around their chin. It takes less time to toilet train a toddler or puppy FFS.
