Maze doesn't seem to mind being around Trixie, Trixie looks up to Maze and Maze herself knows that Trixie is truthful and honest and has been since she first met Lucifer and Maze..and that is what Lucifer and Maze honor about Trixie is the fact that she is open and honest with those she comes into contact with.

That could also be part of what makes believing him to be the actual Lucifer so inconceivable to her. How do you reconcile the idea of an entity that tempts people and makes deals for their souls but is powerless against an eight-year-old.

Children think that a person is good if he or she acts nice and looks pleasant. As cute and intuitive as children sometimes are, you really can't trust their judgment. That is why children have to be trained to not follow, accept candy from, or help strangers. Children are also prone to innocently give out their personal information to strangers online. The fact that Trixie likes him doesn't prove anything.

I think it's Maze's demon side that liked it..she's naturally intimidating, and it drives most ppl away...for a little kid to basically see that look and say 'oh yeah? hold my beer', genuinely impressed her. I also think that later on, she was grateful that Trixie accepted her for who she was via her true form...she, like Lucifer, is so used to ppl running the other way in terror, she's accepted human revulsion as a default position. All of us, deep down ,are scared for ppl to find out 'who we really are', the 'monster inside', and when someone sees who we are..and we know they see *all* of us, and accept us on that level, unconditionally, it's a huge relief.
