I love Lucy is the best show ever. Love them both Desi & Lucy & Viv & Fred M.. No one will ever fits into their shoes. I will still continue to watch the re run of I Love Lucy
too often she was cast in a comedic role instead of the female romantic lead where her kind of beauty belonged. In her 20's esp. she was a knock out. She did, however, turn out to be a great female slap stick comedienne. Her stunts on I Love Lucy are still unrivaled. It was obvious Lucy was a die hard actress who wanted nothing more than to entertain her audiences over and over.
I couldn't agree more. The beautiful color video of Ms Ball in that black and white dress, towards the end - simply stunning. This should be used when they mention Ms Ball during ANY memoriam.
Wow. I'm one of Lucille Ball's most dedicated "fans", have seen all her work ,& I must say: this is one of the most moving tributes I have ever had the privilege to see. I don't know how you managed it, but you captured Lucy's uniquely wonderful gift, in that she could make u roar with laughter one moment, & shed a tear the next, staying gorgeous all through it.. You'e have captured the "poignant" quality Lucy had. This is extraordinary. You really did the Great Lady justice.
This was beautifully put together! Some take a ways from it: Lucille was really beautiful, she could speak volumes with her facial expressions and Lucy could deliver lines faster than anybody I've ever seen. Love you, Lucy!
Lucy & Desi were a perfect "Love Story". They were actors, models, parents business partners & forever lovers. Lucy was so beautiful & full of life. She was one of a kind. No one will ever fill her shoes. Rest in Peace Lucy, we love and miss you.
A hundred years can go by, and we’ll always love Lucy♥️♥️♥️ She will always live in our hearts and she will transcend through generations... I will always Love Lucy♥️♥️♥️
No matter how old Lucy was, she was always beautiful. Even to her last days! She had a beauty from within that shined through. She was very beautiful. She will never be forgotten and she will be loved forever. We do love you Lucy.❤️❤️❤️ My grandma raised me and she loved Lucy. My grandmother passed away last October and it has been hard. But every time I watch her I remember all the good times me and my nanny had watching I Love Lucy.So thank you Lucy for that. You’re not gone. You’re just a beautiful Angel in heaven making God and everyone around you Laugh. You have a GOD given talent. You have made all of us laugh and made life even better. No matter how sad and depressed I am. I can always watch Lucy and she always makes us laugh and smile and Forget our problems for a while. ❤️❤️❤️
Lucy was Stunning 💖 Beautiful Ah-Mazingly talented, warm hearted person..... She is the #1 Legend 🏆 There will never be any one even close to the talent she had..... I Too Love Lucy 💗 May she continue to REST IN PEACE 🕊️🙏🏽
She was so beautiful and the I love Lucy show brought me so much happiness. I was depressed during the covid stay home problem and watching the dvds I bought restored my happiness and the Lord helped me and am o k now. I had a life magazine from the 1950 s where Desi and Lucy were on the front cover and they looked radiant from their love and happiness. I was born 1953 and my sister in 1952, we watches Lucy while my mom was ironing in the 1950 Era, our house was new, my dad and uncle built it and I live in it now, and I sure miss my parents and my 2 sisters who went to heaven Acts 16 31. I am still here wondering what God wants me to do. I sure feel sad when I think of missing them so much, good old days for sure, I feel like crying but will have the anticipation of seeing them again in God's kingdom, hope Jesus comes back today or this year, very soon, I hope,💗🙋♀️
What a beautiful, beautiful video. I loved Lucille Ball. She always reminded me of my own Mum for some reason. Thank you for posting. I found it compelling - just wonderful
Her whole life, she made so many people happy. Probably hundreds of millions over the last 3/4 century. Her kids turned out great. A good mom, good daughter, good wife, good neighbor, good person, etc. we need more people like that in the world today!!!
Just seems to me this beautiful & talented actress model, didn't NEED to become a comedian; She could have rested on her laurels forever-but I believe Deli had a good co-star and he knew it early. The "lady" always appealed to us-I'm not sure of the stupid stuff she was required to perform! Not so funny to lie to your husband and play tricks on him? Well, to each his own..she was more beautiful than funny to my mind. Rest in Peace our "Lady" of comedy !
Thank you so much for this loving tribute to one of the best of the best. I miss her......she brought me so much joy. This was a wonderful reflection of the loveable redhead. Thank you. I love you miss Lucille Ball..... you were a large part of my life. Thank you, AfterTheWind.....the music could have been a bit softer and the clips that were silent, should have been heard. She is an icon.
You can tell her older sister that when Lucille Ball was in charge of Desilu Productions after she bought Desi out, she green lit Star Track and Mission Impossible. Concern that the two shows were two expensive so CBS turned them down, but Lucy went forward with them.
I don't think comedians are ever seen as beauty's. I read a couple of comments that said Desi cheated, but several years ago a close friend of Desi said he never cheated on Lucy, she just thought he did. I hope she was wrong. She was a beautiful person and not just on the outside
Yes, he cheated on Lucy before, during, and after marriage (his second wife Edie almost divorced him for the same reasons. (Desi was an addict: sex, booze and gambling.) He had two wives who loved him but had these addictions.
When I saw pictures of Desi when Lucy married Gary Morton, he looked horrible he was in his forties and looked like he was in his 60's. When he married Edie a few years later, he looked much better, but still looked much older and worn out due to his excesses.
My Mom went to school with Lucille Ball and she told stories about Lucy, her family and Celeron Park, the world is smaller than you think! We were privileged to see her, meet her when they came to Jamestown for the premiere of FOREVER DARLING, what an amazing event that was at the biggest hotel at that time in Jamestown (during the 50's)!
Did you know that Lucille Ball starred in "Wildcat", a short run Broadway musical during 1960-1961 where she played a shifty oil well prospector. Main tune in the show was "Hey Look Me Over".
Lucile Ball. Is One of Our Finest Actresses That Has Made History. She Is One Person I Would Not Want to Tick Off or Infuriate. Because She Would Make My Life Mighty Miserable. All Around She Is A Beyond Excellent Person. Yours,Mine and Ours (1968) & Mame (1974) Her Finest of Movies. Lucy: Is. 7000%.
I highly recommend a visit to Jamestown, NY. Also watch the pilot episode of I Love Lucy. Lucy was absolutely beautiful I love the banter between Lucy and Ricky, when she was playing Pepito, the clown. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 I ❤ Lucy
Many years ago i saw a special on Lucy and Desi, and one of the last scenes, was a home movie taken long after they were divorced, possibly married to other people by that time, at Lucy Jr's house, playing with the grand kids in the pool. They were laughing having a wonderful time, and just for a second they looked over at each other, and the look in their eyes, simply said their love had never left, would never change, and would remain in their hearts forever. I still get a big lump in my throat just recalling that moment.
What a tremendous edit job: the selection of clips is amazing (even including "Magic Carpet"!!) The greatness of I Love Lucy overshadows everything else so much so that we forget that Lucille Ball had a 40-year movie career, 37 of which she was the star. I'm counting her starring roles from post-"Stage Door" (1937) to "Mame" (1974). Her movie roles slowed down after TV, but still she was enough of a draw that she did six movies simultaneous to her 23 year TV career. Only Hepburn stayed on top in pictures longer. Davis persevered but she was reduced to whatever-she-could-get in her later years. Lucy was never desperate enough to stoop to things like "Bunny O'Hare". Again, kudos for a job well done!
The most beautiful Lady in Hollywood and no one even came closer to her she just was humble and class and carrg herself modest and the best actress ever in Hollywood...
WONDERFUL collection of beautiful Lucy clips. In addition to her ground-breaking comedy, Lucille Ball was an amazingly beautiful, and stunningly effective actress!
I grew up looking at I Love Lucy and could hardly wait for her show to come on when I was a little girl. Lucille Ball was absolutely beautiful!!! There will never be another like her!!!💯💯💯💯
@illnsp08 Unfortunately, I am not planning on uploading full length movies. But I'm happy to take any video requests or suggestions. Thanks for your comment.
Very nicely done tribute. Thank you, AfterTheWind. Bless your beautiful Spirit, Dame Lucille Ball, may you rest in peace, and Bless the hearts of all the Good Folk who llove you. Blessings... Cap'n Toni with my Coco and Maya Pups and All the Animal-Kids of the lil Haus... Pennsylvania, USA...
I love Lucille Ball, I always have, she's my favorite actress! I remember my favorite, I Love Lucy. I'd watch her with my grandfather "those were the days" now they're in heaven Lucy and Desi together forever💞💞💖
What I have noticed over time, people of all ages make comments, teens (and even younger) and people in their 70's or older, both men and women. Also, people from other countries too. Lucille Ball's vast connection to people still exists. I love reading the comments - have watched all her shows, and tv appearances, many movies, the ones I like watched several times. I don't even own a tv set in several years and haven't gone to the movies in quite awhile (even pre-covid19) desire to see films or tv shows was disappearing. However thanks to my lap top I can see so much and am willing to pay for worthwhile shows, movies or tv shows.
I grew up in the 1980’s early 90’s and have been a fan watching I love Lucy episodes . Now I am in my 40s and currently watching I love Lucy on Hulu I am happy to see all the episodes because it used to come on Channel 11 fox station . I am sad to see this video all those movie clips and I have never seen one of her films how am I going to ever see them all
I miss. Lucy and her work soo much . Yet I know she had a very sad part in her life at curtain times. But somehow I still wish we were back then just little
