I feel nostalgic little bit when I saw that song. In my childhood I was saw Russian circus in my home town kolkata in every Winter.

There was another movie an year earlier in 2008 where Hrithik did a cameo in a song, Krazzy4. That song and dance was awesome.

Very good film. Hrithik did this between multiple knee operations & treatments (it collapsed the last day of filming Jodhaa Akbar). The choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant accommodated this by eliminating jumping & leaps and putting the weight of the steps mostly on the undamaged leg.

Song made me reminisce the evenings i would watch songs on TV after coming back from school and dance infront of the TV alone, trying to learn the dance steps.. Hrithik moves are so graceful, such a gift. And a treat to watch him dance

Since you were making a mention of not having watched any Indian movie set in a circus like setting, I'd suggest you consider surely watching "Mera Naam Joker" which is Raj Kapoor's last movie and his magnum opus. I'm sure you'll be in for a treat considering the scale, the musicality, story and the fact that you plain enjoy Indian movies...look forward to that review of your's if you do it.

One of the masterpieces of Indian cinema is "Mera Naam Jokar" - Lengthy, but made Raj Kapoor popular in Russia ( then USSR). The song, "Jeena Yahna - Marna Yahan.." is a must-watch - React to that Apart from that, there is a popular tv series 'Circus' (late 80s-early90s ) that contributed to establishing Shahrukh Khan as a promising acting talent.

There's an old classic 5 hour long movie called Mera naam joker( My name is joker) which is based on the emotional journey of a man to becoming a clown in a circus.

Watch out Jimmy! There seems to be an edge and you're slowly falling off of it and out of the picture 😂 The movie was just okay for me but this song and dance was really good and the costumes ecstatic. Also reminded me of Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman (which was filmed later). Very much enjoyed this video. Looking forward to see Buddy with a golden beard

Alrighty! Ok, I'm not on 'Paetron.' Sorry. But when you said you'd not watched any Hindi movies or clips set in circuses before this, I knew I had to suggest "Dil Na Diya" from "Krrish" with Hrithik Roshan. You're right, ZNMD was WONDERFUL! Any movie directed by Farhan's sister (forgot her name now) is a jewel. You are also right to have liked "Jodha Akbar" HR's fan much? 😂😅😄 Can't help that they're good movies... Even the 'bad' ones, or the ones that didn't do well box-office-wise... PS. While "Krrish" borders on cheesy and is on the cute side, the message is a nice one. It's also in many ways a sequel to "Koi... Mil Gaya." A couple others that you might like are "Kites" & "Kaabil"

Hello Jimmy, you have to check out Raj Kapoor’s ‘Mera Naam Joker’. A life story a circus clown from childhood and the special women he loved along the way including a Russian circus acrobat. It’s a phenomenal 1970 film and may be the last one he acted in. At 4 hours it is long but well worth watching. You will love it 🙏
