Someone else commented on some other video that the first ending is like a letter from Atsushi to Dazai, 2nd ending a letter from Dazai to Odasaku and third a letter from Akutagawa to Dazai.
This song is so good. It especially hits different the time dazai said that if he were to go, he would like to go just as beautiful as the fireworks. And atsushi saying "Please don't say that. Not even as a joke." When he realized that dazai seems serious about what he said. It was such a beautiful moment. Atsushi is really an angel. Sometimes I really just wanna give dazai a warm hug. That man deserves so much more.
And in the end he sat by the river bank instead of hopping over it like in the previous episodes because he was scared that Dazai would try to drown himself, and he wanted to save him if that happened.😭😭
am I the only one think this song suits Akutagawa the most... it sounds like his longing feelings towards Dazai.. he wants Dazai to acknowledge him since forever but Dazai never praise him directly.. his jealousy to Atsushi was overwhelming that it hurts :'( I feel bad for him~ (but at the end, Dazai acknowledge his strength in S2)
it's as the ed video, it is indicated to three of them - atsushi, dazai and akutagawa coz atsushi was saved by dazai, odasaku saved dazai and to akutagawa, dazai saved him. we have different opinion and i think the song suits three of them really well
2:39 "Inakutemo ii ka" "I guess no one would notice if I were gone" made me cry singing this. Really suits Dazai who's a suicide maniac which he said 'cause he doesn't have the "reason for living". And,since I'm a depression patient,too,so it made me feel this too,having suicidal thoughts for countless times,hurting myself but still somehow am able to life. Thanks for this,I love it.

remember when they are in the warehouse in ep 1, when atsushi is in the middle of confusion why he has limbs of a tiger and then that's when dazai shoutout atsushi's full name inviting him to join the armed detective agency.
I recently started this anime and saw Dazai as just a goofy mentor but man that call for Atsushi's name gave kinda Kakashi vibe... It showed he is not just some goofy guy who wants to die... He is powerful and knowledgeable ... That was awesome...

this songs reminds me of my sister and i. she’s like my other half, and some could say we have a “perfect relationship” because we rarely fight, but when we do it hurts us a lot and we go running back to one another. but… our relationship isn’t perfect. nothing is perfect. i just want to be next to her forever, and i’m so grateful for all she’s done for me despite being the younger one. i don’t know how much more of a broken monster i’d be if she was never born. i wish to return the favor she’s given me, and to help her. she’s a lot like atsushi, to be honest.

This comment is gonna be filled with so much cheese, but: This song feels like a bittersweet end to something very long, and you feel like you don't want to let go but at the same time you know you should. But at the same time, it also feels like coming home after being away from it for so long. Or like recalling the best moments of your past, knowing that your present is different. This song is so sad, yet sweet and warm at the same time. I know its a cringe description, but this song does things to my heart and I have no other way of expressing it.

This song is an extremely underrated rock ballad, and so more than just an anime ending. The lyrics are so powerful and the delivery just pulls at your heart strings. For anyone who has ever struggled with feelings of depression and no longer wanted to be here... I'll call out your name.

I watched BSD a few months ago, almost a year ago. My favorite anime, best anime on earth no one can tell me otherwise. Yes, I watch other anime, and I love them too. But BSD man, it's I can't explain it with words. I remember hearing this song at the end of the episodes and the song just hit hard even though I don't speak japanese. I say this proves that there's no language for music, music is universal. Thank you Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa. 💙
I dunno why, but this song means so much to me. The tune, the lyrics, everything sounds like a heartwarming tune that I can't let go of. I honestly see myself in these lyrics, not to sound narcissistic or anything, I just feel as though I relate to these lyrics, and in a poetic sense, they reflect some internal fears and struggles of mine. I love BSD so much, and among all the songs used for the show, this is DEFINITELY my favorite, it just resonates with me. To be honest, in no other piece of fiction have I seen characters I relate to so much- Atsushi, Dazai, Akutagawa, Chuuya, among others, I just see parts of my life reflected in their experiences and thoughts, that's why I am attached to this show, it's so beautiful. This song means the world to me, thank you so much, I want to share this with my future kids and everyone
When i heard my sister streaming ths song, i automatically asked the title. As expected, I didn't understand the song but it reached me. I was moved. I watched the anime because i love the song til i realized i love them both huhu.

This got me crying so hard. I just finished watching S1 and the ending is just so perfect that it brought me up to tears. This will be my favorite. And Akutagawa's part literally got me crying. They all deserve happy endings

Remember how atsushi stayed at the river to make sure dazai doesn’t drown himself in the WAN? I just love this anime I haven’t gotten so attached to a anime yet and this is the first anime I have gotten attached to aside from aot. I love the fandom aswell. Chaotic and all. Everyone’s mentally unstable and the Atsushi cosplayers are silly with the roar audio by Katy perry and all the bsd cosplayers when they meet up is just pure chaos, I love them. I don’t want this fandom to end at all. But like all other fandoms I’m in, everything has an end to it. And all the Chuuya and dazai cosplayers on chapter 109 with all these silly edits and cosplays of them. I might miss the usernames and stuff. Especially all the silly moments with the detective agency. Remember when the agency got mad because some gang destroyed the cafe downstairs? And remember that people r mad about bones? Remember that people hate asagiri for chapter 109? Remember how ranpo apologized to Fukuzawa multiple times because he was scared he was gonna leave him? I recently found out dat his character is based on a real author named Osamu Dazai who committed suicide and tbh now every time I watch BSD scenes it tears me up- even his suicidal jokes make me wanna cry. Ohh and in 10th episode of WAN where he says "I wish I could go as beautifully" while looking at the fireworks~ tn Atsushi's reaction sitting at the end of river to make sure dazai wont try to drown himself~ I was re watching it just now and then started listening to dis song- The lyrics "I guess no one would notice if I were gone" makes me realise how lonely dazai feelsss!
