We visited Venkatapalem, Penumaka and a school with very excitable kids.
The school is VZP High School ( goo.gl/JAdQbu ) and the temple is Sri Vaishnava Maha Divya Kshetram ( goo.gl/6zuztL )
Urban Sketchers Singapore were invited by Temasek Polytechnic and Ministry of Trade and Industry to work on this project. We were invited to sketch villages in Vijayawada before their land makes way for the development of the future capital core of Andhra Pradesh.

Teoh, Your very brave to do this video. LOL I thought you would get lost in that sea of children at the school.. Your sketches were amazing. I've always liked your work from the very beginning, but somehow you seem to be getting better and better.. I enjoy your work and of course your trips.. Thanks so much.

I drew while they were in class so there wasn't much distraction, except the crows on the branches above me. lol

You're such a trooper! It can't be easy to sketch with all the attention you get everywhere you go. I appreciate that the people are just being friendly, but it still can't be easy. I admire your dedication!

a drawing marathon is something but with these contingencies (droppings of birds, happy and... many children, foreign language) it becomes a real challenge. Fortunately there are temples and churches to find a bit of calm and serenity. Thank you for sharing your experience, your sketches are always very successful and well reveal the atmosphere.

Love these videos! The kids went completely nuts when they saw that they were being filmed. It must be a real challenge to sketch there, between the crows, the cows and the friendly people :-) All your sketches are really good.

It was really chaotic after their classes ended. The top 3 questions are "What's your name", "Where are you from", "What's your wife's name". lol

As I see colored sketches made after the school, I guess, your portable palette was rescued somehow, because as I saw the sea of hands and smiles coming at the camera and swallowing the place where the sketchbook with paints were sitting, I got worried :)))

They were rescued by my friend who was swept over by the tsunami of kids.
