Rich drop a mullet chunk down on the bottom while you cast that bridge. We get large reds in St. Aug by soaking a nice and fresh chunk of mullet with circle hook. Put in the rod holder in gear so they hook themselves. Set it and forget it. If you start getting trash fish then increase the chunk size and hook.
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 3 месяца назад
Yeah I’ve thought about doing that but there’s some big sail catfish here where I live and I’m afraid they’ll be jumping on every 5 min. Some of them are 25 to 30” and they have no problem sucking down a whole 8 to 12” mullet. But they don’t seem to eat crab that much so a big chunk of blue claw might work.

Great job catching the breeders and broad casting to the world when and how to do it. So every gugan can now help disrupt what’s left of our struggling fishery. We are the only part of the state where keeping redfish is not allowed year round because of how the population crashed. I get your trying to make a living but at what cost
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 3 месяца назад
Let me tell yah. I was out there all day to get the few fish that I caught. This was filmed a month and half ago. The average sane person especially novice fishers won’t cast lures at the same bridge for 4 hours for one Redfish. I think you need to know that. It’s not like it’s a hot bite with cast after cast action. Those bites and videos in different areas that are known I generally don’t post. Don’t blame me for something that has already been on the downward slope. I’ve spent hours and hours at all the bridges in this area. The average person stays for 20 min to 1 hour max then they move. I’ve spent 6hrs in one spot for 1 or 2 good bites. Yeah I’m that crazy. The bridges are tricky to fish and if anything this video is misleading. I’m sorry to those who think they can go there now and catch a big one but in reality many who go and try to attempt will fail. It’s something that only can be accomplished with hours and hours of boredom fishing for 1 moment of excitement. Sorry I offended you. Tight Lines.

Thank God for live scope, you almost struck out today it's good that you could see them with that machine and cast them but you never mention it I wonder why lol
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV 3 месяца назад
Hey Captain Dalton, you know I’ve fished the entire east coast of the United States many times up and down, up and down. Without ever using live-scope and I’ve caught 1,000s of fish without it using traditional sonar or no sonar. Do I need it No. Does any fisher need it. No. Do I like the technology. Yes. But tbh I like it more for catching bait than anything else. Especially at night. Did it help much in this video. It helped a little but I’ve fished hundreds of bridges from New England to the Florida keys and all the states in between. I know where the fish sit. My line is always in the water. 3 or 4 hours for the Redfish sounds like a real game changer of technology lol. Patience was the best for this challenge. I’ve spent 6hrs in one spot on a bridge for 1 bite in this area. It happens. Most people spend 20 min. I knew there were redfish around from all my other 10 straight all day outings. You can be the judge of that. Also believe it or not. I wasn’t even looking at the screen when the redfish hit. I was looking up thinking “wow I suck. I wasted all this time here for nothing. I should of ran and tried this spot or that spot etc…” then bam 💥. We all use technology to fish. When you drive over a school of fish with traditional sonar and if you spend enough time out there you know what species they are by the mark, how they are schooling, and you know exactly where they are in the water column. I’m sure you know that. I don’t talk about lives-cope because a lot of people are sensitive about it and I don’t see why I need to promote it. Anyway, that’s my rant. Thanks for watching, commenting and sorry if you didn’t like the video because of the technology. Tight Lines
@CaptainDalton305
@CaptainDalton305 3 месяца назад
@@FishAholicTV my brother just the opposite I love that fucking technology I spend over $25,000 to put one in the front and back. I cannot wait to use it so I am not criticizing you for having it. I’m criticizing you for not mentioning it and showing the videos how you can see the fish and how it helps, that’s all tight lines back at you bro and I’ve been a charter captain for 30 years in the Florida Keys and I love technology whatever’s easier for the fisherman

incorrect sir. Do the math and you’ll be surprised. Probably 10/15 min talking/fishing hahaha 🤣 and 5 to 8 min catching. That’s a full length realistic fishing video not a short or a reel clip. Or a video cut done to only show the highlights. My audience enjoys to hear the little tips and tricks that I offer and other information that I spit out of my mouth. How do I know? Because I’ve been posting these videos for over 10 years. I want to educate, entertain, and motivate the viewer to get out there. Not just a brief instance of gratification. Therefore, my content is probably not for you then. So no worries. Tight Lines and I hope you catch a trophy this year!
