One of the best artists provided by South Africa to the continent ( with Mama Africa : Miriam Makeba and Yvonne Chaka Chaka)...He could have won a Grammy but at that time, the Whites wouldn’t have given it to him ....his songs were a fight against racism and for freedom ....Rest In Peace THE LEGEND

No reggae can measure up to Lucky Dubie. He was the best and his hit songs are life reality experinced where he went through during the apartheid period in South Africa. RIP.

Several of his songs speak to the violence/crime in South Africa. It's tragic that he became a victim of it himself. It pains me the horrific violent death he experienced. After all the white man did to South Africans, black on black crime is really an affront to all those who suffered and gave their lives for freedom. Wickedness. 🤦🏿😔
