always wonder as to what is in the mind of the haters who dislike Lucky Dube's songs. I concur with him when he says there is no truth in the world. I refuse to say RIP to Lucky because to me he is still alive and every time I feel lonely I seek for his advice through his music. He will forever remain alive in my heart and in my memories. Thank you for the good music.

Without a doubt one of the best live performers I’ve ever seen, pure energy and passion. It’s a shame Lucky never really got the respect he deserved. He should be mentioned with the greats of reggae.

When he came to Kenya, there was no way I could ask my parents to let me go listen to him. But his sound system was a killer. It reached me every song 40 km away from race course where the concert was. Long live your legacy Mr Dube.

It is heart warming to see our brothers and sisters in Motherland Africa embrace our music, even owning it, for indeed it pulsates from the Africans we too are, whether in Jamaica or the wider diaspora. The music has gone home to the Motherland before us. Play it, sing it sweet brothers and sisters until we come home, whether in this life or the next.
