2024 and as a 32 year old this music makes me cry every time. I’m so lucky to still have my mother. She would play this music everyday and one day she just stopped. I think it just makes her too sad 😢. RIP KING
I was born on the Caribbean island 🏝️ call St. Vincent I first heard of beautiful reggae from Jamaicans, however I fell in love with reggae because of Lucky Dube
O meu deus o que fizeram com essa lenda do regue Lucky dube foi uma tremenda covardia suas músicas são melodias que mexem com nossos corações que Deus te dê o descanso eterno
❤😭😭 Here I am in June 2023, listening to this banger ❤️ emotional thinking of how things were back in the day.. The courage and bravery to make music with such message at that time.. Power!! 😭
"On 18 October 2007, Lucky Dube was killed by armed robbers in Rosettenville, a Johannesburg suburb, shortly after dropping two of his seven children off at their uncle's house. Dube was driving his Chrysler 300C, which the assailants were after. Police reports suggest he was shot dead by carjackers who did not recognise him and believed that he was Nigerian. Five men were arrested in connection with the murder; three were tried and found guilty on 31 March 2009. Two of the men attempted to escape and were caught. Dube's convicted killers were sentenced to life in prison." - Wikipedia He was killed by the same people he was advising in this song. What an irony. Lucky Dube lives on.
To think he died in the hands of common criminals! A lot of his lyrics talked about helping children grow up well to avoid them having no direction. His life ended in the hands of kids who lost their way! His message will last forever!
Watching young man Phillip Lucky Dube can really make me cry. Tears and respect from USA. One Love. 💪🏿💪🏼 Defend our Brothers 🦁🦁🦁 Missing you Lucky, terrible loss to your family and the world 😭😭😭.
Biggest lesson about life, Narrated in a Single Song.. Mad love to All our Gone legends.. thank you for setting a path for us through your Music. ❤️this is so inspiring
he was a political mouth piece the way i see it ......at large his music was a tool to convince its audiance to understand life in the so desired direction by the authors....so much input from unknown and hidden sources brewed luck's music for political motives
Whenever I see what's going on in my country Uganda.. immediately I run to RU-vid en watch lucky dubes music.. mostly this song....2023 still we are prisoners in our own country...rip lucky 😢
He said it loud and clear. Its happening around the world in diferent countries I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and the government systematically shut down many schools neglecting them stealing money, ment for the Education system and many more atrocities...He sang about the future in many songs and about politics, corruption in government. They said armed robbery but they wanted him gone. 🙏🏽 R.I.P❤
Oh man, Papa Lucky raised me! We went through sooo many hard times together. Whitey here if it matters, I miss you sooo much! I will carry on listening until my last breath! Rock on legend!!!!
This song is a great one especially for those teenagers who seem to be practicing deliquency, but it's only a few of them who find a chance to meet such songs
is there a chance you could send it across the African Americans in America some how I think they really need it more than ever today to really understand as well as pass it to the young ones so they can survive
This is exactly what I told my son that crime does not pay but education is the key, he left school, today he is jailed because of his wrong choice then I become a bad parent, when I say we reap what we sow.
